William Hanson Bishop
Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:p.m. at the Darwin Baptist church for William Hanson Bishop, 73 year old retired farmer who died at Tipton, Okla. April 19, 1961. Rev. H.D. McRorie officiated assisted by Rev. H.M. Ogelsby. He was born Feb. 1, 1888 at Blythesville, Ark. Mr. Bishop came to the Darwin area in 1905 and lived at Darwin and near Antles until 1959 when he moved to Tipton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Antlers when lived there. Survivors include the widow, Elizabeth, of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Liddie Southern, Tipton and Mrs Zona Woods, Antlers. Five sons, Rueben, Chico, Calif.; Henry, Manteca, Calif; Van, Exeter, Mo; Herman, Eunice, New mexico,; and J.N. of Duncan; and three sisters, Mrs. Maudy Snow, De Queen, Mrs.Trudy Reed and Mrs. Lillie Tyndall, Antlers, Three brothers, Abner Bishop, Blyhtesville, Ark.; George W. Bishop, Antlers and Sam Bishop of California, 28 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were, Orville Westbrook, Roy Splawn, Harold Roberson, Woody Pace, Pete Hedgecock and Bobby Lee Dozier. Local arrangements were under the direction of Coffey Funeral home.

SARAH ELIZABETH (FRANCIS) BISHOP
Funeral services for SARAH ELIZABETH (FRANCIS) BISHOP, 81, of Antlers were held Sundy, August 16,1970 at 3:p.m. in the Darwin Baptist church with Rev. Olen Price, pastor of the Westside Baptist Mission, offciating. Mrs. Bishop as born March 31, 1889 in Heber Springs, Ark, and died August 13, 1970 in the Antlers Nursing Home where she had resided for the past year. She and her late husband lived on a farm west of Antlers for many years before they retired. She has lived in this area for some 60 years and was a member of Westside Baptist Mission in Antlers. She is survived by four sons, Henry A. Bishop of Porterville, Calif., Van Bishop, Exeter, MO.; Herman W. Bishop of Eunice, N.Mex.; and J.N. Bishop of Duncan. Two daughters, Mrs. Liddie M. Ryburn of Antlers and Zona Woods of Great Falls, Montana. One brother, Mr. Arthur Francis of Redlands, Calif and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Poole of Heber Springs, Ark, and several grand children and great children. Pallbearers were her nephews, Roy Henderson, Daniel Henderson, George Henderson, Ward Smith, Luther Deskin and Arthur Finnell. Interment was in the direction of Sanford Funeral Home of Antlers..

ANTLERS AMERICAN Thursday, March 20, 1969
Farris Services Held Tuesday For OC [Oklahoma City] Resident
Funeral services for David B. Harbison, Oklahoma City resident,
were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, from the Farris
Church of Christ with Walter Durbin officiating. Burial was in
the Farris cemetery under direction of Sanford Funeral home.
Harbison, died at Oklahoma City Friday, March 14. He was 80 years
of age, having been born January 20, 1889. [born Jan. 20, 1892]
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Church of
Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell; two sons, James of
Mesquite, Texas, and David, Jr., with the U.S. Air
Force; one daughter, Mrs. David Trimble, Austin, Minn., and ten
grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Lela Hust, Magnolia, Ark.
