MINUTES OF THE MOUNT PLEASANT CHURCH

Tomahuski, Dec 9, 1866

The session met and was opened with prayer.

T. B. Turnbull, a member of this church, appeared and confessed that he had sinned greatly in neglecting to attend his religious duties for some years past, but being penitent and requesting to be restored to the privileges of the Church, Resolved that he be restored.

Allen Wright, Bissel Couch, Nataniel Perkins, Alfred  Wright, Simon Perkins, Aaron Wright, Isreal Perkins, Isabella Perkins, Bessey Wright (Alfred Wright's wife) presented themselves as candidates for admission to the church on profession of faith. After a full examination, Resolved that the following persons be received, viz: Allen Wright, Bissell Couch, Nathaniel Perkins, Alfred Wright, Simon Perkins, Aaron Wright, Isabella Perkins, and Bessey Wright.

Resolved, that the case of Isreal Perkins be deferred till some other time, for want of futher religious instructions.

Samuel Daily, who has been under suspension since June 1853, appeared and confessed his great sin of irreligious life and conduct, but having returned to his religious duties for some months past, at the same time expressed his penitence and sorrow, and requested to be restored to the priviledges of the church. Resolved that he be restored.
