LAWMEN and OUTLAWS

L. L. "Les" Segler

Les is credited, along with Bud Ballew, for the killng of ex-deputy marshall Dow Braziel, even though no wittness claimed he fired any shots. As the story goes though, the Braziel family blamed him as much as Ballew for the untimely death of their family member. At least Bob, Dow's brother, felt strongly about it, because he killed Les Segler in Fort Worth, Tx. on December 6, 1919. Bob was the sheriff for the area.
