Frances Jean (Vaughn) Yadon
1931 — 2008

After a courageous battle with cancer, Jean Yadon, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed from this life, Monday, July 14, 2008. A private service will be held.

Jean was born in Muskogee, April 27, 1931, the daughter of Jack & Genevieve (Stuckslager) Vaughan.

A graduate of Muskogee Central High School, Jean earned a bachelors degree and masters degree from Northeastern State College. She married her childhood sweetheart, Tom Yadon, December 29, 1951. Jean was past president of S.W.A. P. (Sheltered Women Activity Program), and was also involved with MARC, Pilot Club, and the National Poetry Society. Genealogy was her passion and she spent countless hours researching for family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Tom Yadon; her children: Marcie Kohlbacher & husband, Ken of Broken Arrow OK; Julie Kay & husband Gregg of Parker CO; Eddie & the late, Betty Yadon of Muskogee OK; Richard Yadon of the home and Kenneth Yadon of Muskogee; thirteen wonderful grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren who adored her. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Vaughan.

Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Muskogee Public Library, Genealogy Department, 801 W. Okmulgee, Muskogee, OK 74401.

The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
