and was canvassed October 3, 1968 by Irmal Haunschild and Eula Hasskarl.

Box X is an cemetery and is said that burials began with the deaths and burials of four soldiers from a company of calvary transferring to the canton once located north of Byars. There is a marker just inside the gates of the cemetery reading, "In Memory of All Veterans whose Resting Place is Known to God Alone. To get to Box X Cemetery go Northwest on Hwy 3W to County Rd 348--Turn Right abt. 1 mile Turn right again.
