Taloga ACCIDENT, Dec 23, 1892
Page 4. Miss Lulu Holcomb, who will be remembered by the "pioneers" as the charming
young lady who made the run with her father C. W., and secured a fine claim, has recently
married and returned with her husband to her claim here.
C. W. Holcomb has returned to his claim, four miles east of town, with his family and is
prepared to remain permanently. Mr. Holcomb came in on the day of the opening, secured a
claim and had the first house built in this part of the county, he also raised fine crops
of corn and millet. When it came to selecting county officers his diligence and rustling
ability was recognized and he was elected county commissioner from his district, which
office he holds for the next two years.

Taloga ADVOCATE, Feb 6, 1902
Arthur Pownall and Miss Dollie Cheney were married at the residents of the bride's
parents in Taloga, Saturday evening.

Married. C. B. Leedy and Miss Mable A. Foster both of Leedy, this county were married
at the residence of the bride's parents last Sunday. --- The bride who is a charming
young lady was formerly a resident of Pulaski Co, Mo. and has lived in Dewey County
less than a year.
