I am
interested in any information on US Marshall Thomas G. Moss (1859-1935). The
family stories have him in Tahlequah, Indian Terr. He married Mary Ellen Long
(1860-1902 daughter of Elizabeth J. Long (1837-1925) presumably in Tahlequah,
they then moved to Harrison Arkansas where he becam Sheriff. Mary E. Long is
buried in Harrison. Thomas G. Moss and Elizabeth J. Long moved to Canon City CO
area where he had a ranch, both are buried there. Elizabeth J. Long was
Cherokee descent with stories making her either full or 1/2 Cherokee...again no
confirmation.
I am his Great Grandson, born in Bartlesville and now living in Brandon,
FL.
There are a lot of good family stories, but nothing confirmed. Thanks
for any help or direction you might provide.

Looking for anyone researching McCLELLAN, John L. b. April 23, 1875 probably
in MO. He was married July 18, 1897 in Camden Co., MO to Katherine Vesper and
they had 5 children, only 2 living to adulthood. Information we have now says
that he was living in Tahlequah, OK and believed to have died 1948.1953. He and
Katherine divorced 1908/1910 as she remarried in Sept. 1910. No results in
obtaining a death certificate on John. Any and all clues, big or small, would be
most appreciated. Thanks to all.

looking for any information on L. R. Smith (Smiths Drug and Bookstore) dob 1881 dod 1849. thank you Kelley kdasta [dasta.kelley2@verizon.net]
I have been trying to locate a Blue Springs Cemetery that is supposed to be north of Tahlequah. Info from a descendant states that William E.(Willie) Frank who died in 1909 is buried in this cemetery. Wm is a brother to my grandfather. I am not certain how far north the cemetery is supposed to be since this is all of the info that I have. His widow was Charlotte (Lottie) Ticer Frank and she married John A. Corn after William died.Have been told that she may be buried at Morris OK. I am primarily interested in William Frank. Any info you have would be appreciated. I have looked through info available at the Tulsa Genealogy Library and no luck.

I am looking for any info on a
Hettie Smith that married Arch Hill in Tahlequah. I have little other
information except that Hettie's parent owned Smith Family Grocery Store in
Tahlequah in the early 1900's. Arch Hill owned a gas station in Tahlequah with
another man and there was some kind of trouble with the gas and they got into
some legal problems- I am not sure when this was but think around 1928. Have
you got any information about these families or know where I might find out
something about them.Thank
you for your help.

Really
needing help on this one. We have a John L. McClellan b. about 1870 MO.
Believe he was married to a Susan. In trying to locate this John McClellan
someone wrote to the postmaster in Tahlequah and the reply from him in 1955 said
there was a Susan McClellan in the care of the Elmer Brown family out on Loop
Route, and said that her husband passed away some time ago. In checking with
Okla. City on two different occasions they informed us they had no record of
John McClellan. The search I believe was 1945 - 1955. We believe he is buried
in Tahlequah at some unidentifed place, and would appreciate anyone's help with
this. If anyone has heard of these people, knew these people, know someone
researching these people it would be of great help to us. Thank you in advance
for any help you might give.

Does anyone
out there have any information on my grandparents: Sallie Guthrie or her
husband; August (Gus) Rueckert, who owned "Home Bakery" in Tahlequah around the
1920's? Gus was an immigrant from Germany, and
although his grave is there in Tahlequah, I can find no information about his
family.

I'm trying
to help my friend and I'm not sure where to start. My friends name is Erica and
she wants to find out any info she can about her fraternal grandfather. She want
to surprise her father with anything. Her father has no idea who his dad was, it
was a family secret that was never talked about. All he remembers is the name
Harjo and sometimes the name Joe would come up. I think she lived in Ada,
Blackwell or Snowmass, OK., when she met him, but they never married. I've been
trying to find birth records but can't gain access to them. I don't know if you
can offer and help or suggestions, but would love some advise where to start.
Thank you so much,
Debbie Jo<DebJoBaker@aol.com>
