Orvin "O.W." Conner

Orvin "O.W." Conner, who had a barber shop at 719 W. Illinois for many years, is pictured in 1966, cutting Dewey Bartlett’s hair. There was a governor’s race that year and Bartlett was a candidate. Incidentally, Bartlett is pictured reading the Vinita Daily Journal. Bartlett served as governor from 1967-71 and was the second Republican Governor, following Henry Bellmon. Within the autograph, Bartlett wrote: Thanks for the good haircut and conversation!
