Mrs. Ruth Young, 82-year-old widow of John M. Young, Vinita
and Afton banker, insurance and real estate man, died
Thursday in Vinita following a paralytic stroke. Services
will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the First Methodist church of
Vinita.
Mrs. Young frequently visited two Oklahoma City daughters,
Mrs. Byrde Collins, 1139 Northwest Twenty-fourth street, and
Mrs. M.S. Runyan, 1225 Northwest Eighteenth street. Also
surviving are four other daughters, Mrs. L.D. Butler and
Mrs. Maybell Brown, Vinita; Miss Josephine Young, Muskogee,
and Mrs. R.L. Copening, Iola., Kan.; 11 grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
