Vinita—Funeral arrangements are pending here for
Orville W. Johnson, 46, accountant for the Grand River Dam
authority since 1948, who died early Wednesday in a local
hospital after an illness of several months. Burckhalter
funeral home is in charge.
Johnson, born in Tulsa, was employed by the Security State
bank, Miami, Okla., before coming here to work for the GRDA.
He served overseas with the U.S. army engineers during World
war II. HE was a member of the Pilgrim Presbyterian church.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, his father, S.J.
Johnson, sr., Miami; one brother, S.J. jr., Hobbs, N.M.; and
one sister, Mrs. William Prieto, Chicago.
