VINITA, Oct. 16.—D.M. Marrs, former editor of Vinita
Chieftain and pioneer citizen of Craig county, having lived
here forty-eight years, died of heart failure while
attending to his duties as justice of the peace here Tuesday
morning.
Marrs has always taken an active interest in the town, and
in his work as editor did much for its benefit. He is
survived by three daughters and seven sons, his wife having
died in June of this year.
