Afton Crash Kills Two, Injures Others.
VINITA, June 27.—Vincent Roney,
about 20 years old, of Chattanooga, Tenn., was in critical
condition in a hospital here Thursday night from injuries
suffered Wednesday night in which his wife and Madge
Nicholson, Afton, were killed and nine other persons were
injured.
Roney, suffering a fractured skull and a broken arm, was
still unconscious.
The others injured in the head-on crash near Afton were
improved and hospital authorities said all probably would
recover.
Tony Zyck and Raly Kozlowski, Utica, N.Y., who were injured
in another car crash near here Wednesday night, also were
improving.
