Vinita to Hold State Banker’s Rites Tuesday
 

    VINITA, Feb. 23—Services will be at 3 p.m. from the First Methodist church for W.M. Malone, 81, prominent state banker. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery.
    Malone founded the Bank Deposit Guarantee Journal in Vinita and in 1909 started the Building and Loan Co. of Vinita, which organization he headed until his death.
    He was for seven years a member of the board of regents for Tulsa university, and eight years in the same position for Miami junior college. He served also as the president of the National Saving and Home Examiners association.
    Malone is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.V. Rowe, Vinita, and Sister Mary Virginia, Lansdale, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Rowe, Vinita, Mrs. Margaret Harris and Mrs. Davie Harris, Slater, Mo.
