VINITA—Dr. George W. Wright, 80 , died early Monday in his
home hear following a month’s illness. Death was attributed
to a heart ailment.
Dr. Wright came to Vinita 35 years ago from Alabama. He was
active as an optometrist here until his recent illness.
Survivors include his wife, Laura, Vinita, three sons,
Carroll Wright; Bryan Wright, Kinston, N.C.; and Charles J.
Wright, Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Hugh McClure, Vinita,
and Mrs. H.E. Robertson, Sweetwater, Tex.; and two brothers,
Jim Wright, Thornby, Ala., and J.D. Wright, Helena, Ala.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist
church. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
