VINITA—Services will be held in the Luginbuel chapel at 2:30
p.m. Thursday for Herbert A. Hicks, 87, who died in a Vinita
hospital Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in Fairview
cemetery.
Hicks came to Vinita in 1898 from Lehigh and had lived here
since. In 1920 he bought Vinita Book Store and operated the
firm until January, 1946, when he retired.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A.M. Buster, Muskogee;
four sons, Morris, Maxwell field, Ala.; Ralph, Kansas City,
Mo.; Homer, Tulsa, and Clifton, Vinita.
