VINITA, Nov. 23.—Services for John E. Giles, 84, who died
Saturday in his home following a short illness, were here
Tuesday.
Giles, a retired farmer , had lived here 15 years. He was
born March 11, 1869, in Monroe county, Tennessee, and came
to Craig county 24 years ago. He was a member of the First
Christian church.
Survivors include: his wife, Margaret E.; four sons, Allen,
Vinita; Roy, Tulsa; Charles, route 5, Vinita; and Kenneth,
Vinita; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Downum, Salina; Mrs. Mabel
Teeter, Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Kathleen Atkinson, Tulsa; and
Mrs. Margaret Winton, Tahlequah; two brothers, Jim Giles,
Locust Grove; and Jess Giles, Hartshorne, two sisters, Mrs.
Delia Whitis, Salina; and Mrs. Hattie Rose, Coweta; 19
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
