John M. Haven Rites at Vinita
 

    VINITA—Services for John M. Haven, 58, a Vinita resident for 49 years, who died Friday in the Veterans hospital at Muskogee, were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Burckhalter Memorial chapel here.
    Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
    Haven, who had been ill less than a week, was born March 10, 1895, in Columbia, Tenn., and came to Vinita in 1905 with his family. He attended Vinita highschool and later served in the U.S. navy during World war I.
    He was associated for a number of years with the former Sanders-Ridgway department store here. Later he established a road sign advertising agency at Vinita and continued to operate it until the time he became ill last Sunday.
    Haven was a member of the First Methodist church, Vinita; and of the Vinita American Legion post.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Crystal Haven of the home in Vinita; and one sister, Mrs. Maude Hoppe, San Antonio, Texas.
