VINITA, March 18—Services for C.B. Hughes, 88, retired
Vinita businessman who died in his sleep early Wednesday,
will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Burckhalter funeral home
chapel.
Hughes, born July 20, 1865, in Hope county, Tennessee, came
to Vinita about 60 years ago. He owned and operated the
Hughes feed store here from 1901 to 1937.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Jim Tolley, route 4
Vinita; and Mrs. Lon Lester, Vinita; one brother, Jim
Hughes, Nowata; and one sister, Mrs. John Phillips, Vinita.
