J.M. Carroll, Pioneer, Dies Services Held
 

    VINITA, June 10—Services for John M. Carroll, 84, who died Wednesday in his home after a short illness, were Friday in the Church of God.
    Carroll, born in Cherokee county, N.C., came to Craig county at an early age. He resided east of Vinita several years and for 50 years lived on a farm near Pensacola in Mayes county. He had lived in Vinita nine years. He was a member of the Church of God.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary C.; five sons, Clem and Lawrence, both of route 1, Big Cabin; Tom, route 3, Vinita; Clinton, Pensacola, and William, Tulsa; six daughters, Mrs. R.C. Dudgeon, Vinita; Mrs. J.E. Sloan, route 1, Big Cabin; Mrs. E.F. Mansure, Brookville, Md.; Mrs. W.J. Walker, route 1, Big Cabin; Mrs. A.R. Waterberry, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. R.M. Irons, Cincinnati; and four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Stiles, Mrs. Dora Headrick and Miss Hettie Carroll, all of Murphy, N.C., and Mrs. Nettie Robinson, Knoxville, Tenn.
