VINITA—Last rites for Gabe A. Mitchem, 74, who died Sunday
in his home here, were Tuesday in Luginbuel Brothers funeral
chapel. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
Mitchem, who retired a few years ago, had been employed by
Craig county on road maintenance work for many years. Born
in Shell City, Mo., he had resided here for 32 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Beulah Mitchem of the
home; four daughtesr, Mrs. Melba Taylor, Chicago, Ill., Mrs.
Norma Davis, Sand Springs, and Mrs. Laveta Burchett and Mrs.
Meredyth O’Connor, both of Vinita; two sons, Kenneth Mitchem,
Denver, Colo., and Gene MItchem, Tulsa; one sister, Mrs.
Ella Moyer, Shell City; and one brother, Ben Mitchem,
Clinton, Mo.
