Obituary - Joseph C. Ellis, son of W. C. and Lucy A. Ellis, died of tuberculosis at the home of his father and mother in Taloga, December 10, 1903, at the age of 20 years and 22 days.

He was born near Bridgeport, Wise County, Tex., Nov. 18, 1883 and moved with his parents to the Chickasaw Nation, near Duncan in July 1886, then to Dewey county in April 1893. He bore patiently his long continued suffering and was hardly ever heard to complain. He had a kind and gentle disposition and was loved by all who knew him.

Page 8. Obituary - Isaac Wilson Ellis was born in Wise County, Texas, May 19, 1878, and died in the Thomas Memorial Hospital, Thomas, Oklahoma, June 7, 1956, at the age of 78 years and 18 days.
He was a member of the Taloga Methodist Church and the I. O. O. F. Lodge of Taloga.

He came to Dewey county with his parents in 1893 and grew to manhood in the Oakley community.
He was married to Julia Ann Bodine on August 18, 1901 - to this union 8 children were born, two of which have preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn: his wife, three sons, W. P. of Fort Collins, Colorado; Vern of Brownfield, Texas; Stanley of Taloga; three daughters, Arta English of Putnam; Oveda Kimball of Wenatchee, Washington; Anna Lou Boothe of Lubbock, Texas; 20 grand children, 8 great grand children and a host of relatives and friends.
