Elmer Franklin Burkett listed as signing up at the same time as
Lonnie Leon Burkett from May, Harper County, OK in 1917 for the WWI
civilian draft. Elmer and his wife Elsie Hall Burkett were married
at Woodward County 1912. Moved to May, OK before the birth of their
second child, Mildred born 1915. Their third child also born in May,
OK was Dorothy in 1917.
They are listed in the Ripley county Mo census for 1920 so must have moved back to MO sometime around 1919.
Parents of Elmer Burkett are William Burkett b. abt 1868 died before 1901 and Louisa Lydia Jane Humphries Burkett b in Illinois 1871 died 1936 in Poplar Bluff, Mo (as Lydia Davidson).
Elsie Hall Burketts parents were Eli Thomas Hall b. 1861 died 1934 and Isa Dora Hollcroft Hall b 1863 died 1909. She is buried at Emmons cemetery somewhere in Okla.

On my mothers side:
My G-father, Joseph Nelson BAGGS,B.1872 D.11-24-1936 homesteaded along with his mother Mary Ann KNIGHT BAGGS near May Okla in the Land Rush.
My G-mother Lena Sabina SNODGRASS BAGGS B.9-14-1890
D.4-14-1944, came to May
with her parents Thomas SNODGRASS B.1853 and Sarah WILSON
SNODGRASS B.1861 who
also homesteaded in the Landrush.
On my fathers side:
G-father Ray Herbert BOWEN B.12-07-1889 D.7-16-1919 buried
in Gage. G-mother Glessie Letha POWERS, her parents were Jesse
Tearl POWERS, B.6-25-1879 D.
5-21-1927 Bertha Alice ROBBINS POWERS B. 7-02-1873 D. 1-26-1936
