I found them on a 1900 Indian Territory census. the "address looks like J5NR19E, altho some folks say that this should be T5NR19E. Thu Jan 23 09:08:48 1997 Seek information on Henry and Eliza Jane Cameron, Henry was born January 27, 1850 (where is unknown, parnets are unknown) he died on February 15, 1914 in Gowen, Oklahoma. He had at lease one son, William Rufus Cameron, who died on January 30, 1914 in Gowen, Oklahoma. Seek information on Eliza Jane (maiden name unknown) any siblings of Rufus, etc. I known William Rufus taught school, I am not sure if it was at Gowen, Cambria or where. Any information would be greatly appreciated. a Levi Cameron is buried in Gowen Cemetary with Rufus, Henry and Eliza. I know a Bill Cameron lived in Wilburton, I do not know how they were related.

Fri Feb 7, 1997 I'm looking for any and all information on the family of John Miller Stockton, previously from Ozark, ARK area, and known to have lived in the Red Oak area, from before 1910 possibly to 1937. John's wife was Mary Ann (Murray)and children were as follows: Louis, born in Ark around 1896, Virgil E., born in Ark around 1899, Janet L. born in Ark around 1904,Claudie M., born in Ark around 1906, Johnie L., born in Red Oak ? around 1911, Melvin E.,born in Red Oak, Nov 22, 1913, and Arther B., born in Red Oak ? around 1918-1919. Melvin was believed to have married in the area, and divorced also. I believe I've found Arther's marker in the Red Oak cemetery, belived to have died in the flu epidemic. Claudie married Sam Hudlow of same area. Janet married a Booth, of same area, she is believed to be buried in the Red Oak cemetery also. John M. Stockton's parents were Jonathan D. Stockton and Catherine (Bunker) from the Ft. Smith and Ozark Arkansas area. John was known to have had one eye. Also know to have had a brother named Thomas Davis Stockton.

Sun Mar 2 16:30:46 1997 Francis Marion Briggs and family came to Kully Chaha in 1885. He had adult sons, Jefferson D. and James Eura who were married and had families. He married Julia Eaves in Kully Chaha in 1888, they had a son, Claude Briggs, born in 1891 in Cameron. By 1900 Francis Marion was in Howe. Claude Briggs was publisher of the Howe Star and a postmaster at Howe under the Wilson administration. The family moved to Lodi and Francis Marion died in 1909 and is buried at Red Oak. Jacob P. Briggs, brother of Francis Marion, may have also been in the area. He was a Methodist circuit rider (preacher). Appreciate any information about this family.

Fri Feb 14 13:16:37 1997 Between 1890 & 1894 Henry Frye married Louella Jones. In 1900 Henry & Louella were in Flint Township, Adair Co. Census rec. show that their first son, Benton, was born in 1894. Benton gave his place of birth on his WWI records as Salisaw. Henry d. 1909 Kinta, Haskell Co. Louella died 1912 in Patterson, Latimer Co. Prior to OK, Henry lived in Yell Co. AR with relatives in Scott Co., AR Several of his relatives went to OK (Haskell Co) before he did. 14 Nov 1886 Henry married 1st wife, Fannie Jones in Yell Co. AR 14 April 1890 Court rec. show Henry let Robert Spencer adopt his dau. Essie Ollie because her mother had died. Henry and Fannie also had a son John born Jul 1888. Last record of John is 1924 in Hughs Co. OK.

Allen was born in Ripley Co., Indiana. He was on the 1900 census, ed 93 sht 12B line 58 Choctaw nation. The family moved onto Missouri by 1910, they are on the census there EXCEPT for ALLEN. He told me that he recently sent for a copy of his birth certificate and was told there was no record. His father was Ernest William RATCLIFF born July 8, 1895, Gowen. He died November 10, 1967 in Houston, TX. Ernest married Lena DEWITT. Ernest's parents were John Henry RATCLIFF and Mary Angline HICKS. My father has a brother Robert RATCLIFFand sister Helen RATCLIFF DOSIER, both born in Gowen. My father is currently very ill and we have been working together trying to compile our family tree. I am afraid he may not be much more help in my research, so I am having to resort to surfing the web for information. Thanks for any information you can provide. I am working for the Department of the Army in Camp Zama, Japan, and my father lives in Davenport, Iowa. His siblings have returned to OK. from Daingerfield, TX. My birth certificate says I was born "near Gowen" Lattimer Co., OK in 1931. My Dad, Jack CAMERON, born Cement, OK 1906, Son of Levi CAMERON born (?) AR. 1877, Son of Henry H. CAMERON born Jan. 1850 in Randolph, Co., AR. My G-father, Levi, My G. G-father, Heny & G. G-mother, Eliza Jane MASSEY CAMERON are buried in Gowen Cemetary. Levi had a brother, Rufus who I think held an office in the Courthouse in Wilburton for a great number of years, according to family "tradition". I would like to contact any of his people who might still be in that area or who might know a little family history. I also am looking for the decendents of Henry's brother, Eli, born about 1843-44 in KY. I lost track of him after the 1860 census when he was still at home in Randolph Co., AR. I am looking for information on my Grandmother, Emily Arbella FREENY. She was born in Lutie, 15 Nov. 1879, and died 12 June 1950 in Whitefield, Ok. The Choctaw Nation Marriage Book 6, shows Emily married my Grandfather, Wm. Francis KINSEY on 6 Nov. 1895. They were both from Wilburton, I.T. at the time of their marriage. Does Emily have any other family members still in the area? William and Emily lived in the township of Bokoshe, Ok during the 1910 census with 5 of their 10 children. Seeking any information on Grace FARRAR. According to her death certificate, she was born in Red Oak in October 1890. Her parents on the D.C. are listed as --FARRAR and Laura DAY.-- FARRAR's first name may have been Robert. he may have died when Grace was about 2. Laura may have been born in TX and is supposed to have been part Cherokee. Grace married Lewis TATE in December 1907 in Denton Cty, TX. Children (aloo born in denton Cty) include Susie, Fred L. 16 Dec 1997 Ace William SCOTT married Lear Vesta STRICKLAND in 1903 in Garland Co., Ark. Ace and Lear had 3 children, William Earl, Ethel Leona and Janie Lily Bell SCOTT, all three were born in Ark. Garland Co. Ace and Lear had a saw mill in Latimer Co, they were in business with a LUNDSFORD family. Ace died in 1925 and is buried at the Norris Cemetary, Lear died in 1929 and maybe buried there also. Ace SCOTT's parents may have been a John and Becky SCOTT.

Children:Jake, John,Leonard,Marshall, Eddie(Etta), Annie,Ethel,Edgar, Elmer. Wm.WOOD belonged to the Order, Jr.Mechanics Lodge, would like to know about this organization also. Wm. married Sarah(Sadie) HUTCHINSON, in 1892, her parents, John & Lottie HUTCHINSON of Dow,Ok. Jake WOOD married Anna WALLS, Eddie(Etta) married Oscar NICHOLS, Annie married Albert BOATRIGHT, Ethel married James SMITH, Leonard to Grace PASTRICK, John to 1st. Lena WALLS, 2nd. Elsie COOMER, Edgar to 1st. Sally Mae HOWE 2nd. Deloris Gramer, Marshall to Ethel HELTON

30 Dec 1997 Am researcing the family of Green WEBSTER. Green was listed on the 1920 census in Buffalo Township, Latimer County. His wife Sarah SWIFT had died previously. Green was born Feb1862 in IL, to George Washington WEBSTER and Isabella Elizabeth TURLEY. He resided in Ozark Co, MO through the 1900 census. Was he in Latimer County in 1910? He died c. 1938, and family legend says he is buried in Massey Cemetery in Buffalo Valley, Latimer Co., OK. Haven't proved this yet. Will gladly exchange what I have with others.
