MICKLE, Harmon Wilburton area, 1890's Choctaw by marriage [his first wife was Choctaw], licensed trader, had trading posts on the Texas Road from Ft. Smith to Boggy Depot from 1860 to about 1891, settled for a time between Wilburton and Robber's Cave. His wife Joanna McSweeney Mickle, sought Choctaw citizenship based on Harmon's. Their children: Susanna, Catherine, Nicholas, Joanna, Virginia, Peter, William, Mary Agnes, Florence, David Osborne. Nicholas and Joanna [Burdy] were born in Choctaw Nation, 1860 & 1862. The rest were born rural Sebastian Co. Arkansas, south of Ft. Smith. Children settled in McAlester, Krebs, Crowder, Canadian, Wilburton, Ft. Smith.

Nowlin, David Taylor dates of arrival in the area are: 1889 and 1903 Nowlin Came from Logan County AR., in about 1891, to Howe, LeFlore County.I.T.  Came to Wilburton 1903 that he became City Marshal
Wilburton. I also have Kindles that came to Latimer County from Missouri in 1879. Lee kindle died in 1902 in Wilburton.
