Was on the invasion barge L. C. T.-19 when it was bombed and sunk in the invasion of Italy.

He has spent six and one half months overseas in the Mediterranean theater and participated in the invasions of Sicily and Italy.

His present address is the New York area.

He is fireman of the amphibious L. C. T.

He was graduated from Guthrie highschool and entered the service May 19, 1942.

He is 18 years of age and the son of Mrs. Flora LeGate, Rt. 5, Guthrie.
