Joe Johnston, S. 1-C

Was graduated from the Guthrie highschool in 1942 and entered the Seabees December 9, 1942.

He is the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Johnston, Route 1, Guthrie.

He took his basic training at Camp Endicott, Davisville, R. I., and is stationed in the Aleutian Islands where he is doing construction work.

Before entering service he was employed in the Guthrie oil fields.
