Lt. James R. Billings

Missing in action since December 30, 1943, while on a mission to Germany.

He was graduated from Guthrie highschool and was attending George Washington university Washington D.C. at the time he entered the army air corps in August, 1942.

He received his commission as second lieutenant at Eagle Pass, Tex., and received a promotion to first lieutenant around the first of December, 1943.

He has received the Purple Heart for wounds in battle.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Billings, 1723 E. Springer Ave.

His wife, Mrs. Billie Billings lives in Oklahoma City.
