Cpl. Joe W. Eldridge, Jr.

A member of a mechanized cavalry, stationed at Camp Somerset, Westover, Md., Cpl. Eldridge, has received a medal as expert machine gunner.

He entered the army December 17, 1942 and is 33 years of age.

He operated a service station here from 1933 until 1940 and was employed at the Bryan-Hall-McDaniel Inc., at Oklahoma City prior to his induction.

His wife, Mrs. Margaret Eldridge lives at Edmond.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Eldridge, 505 E. Harrison Ave.

He attended Guthrie schools and received basic training near Boston, Mass.
