Allen & Son Grocery Store Advertisement

Miles W. Allen was born 1851 (the son of William and Charlotte Sams Allen) in Clinton County, Iowa. When he was 19 years old they moved to Rooks County, Kansas and in 1874 he married Lucy Mudge in Kearney County, Kansas. They had 4 children John F., Charlotte, Milton (my grandfather) and Raymond R. Allen. In 1889 he made the run into Okla. He secured a homestead on Bear Creek. He was a member on the school board. In the fall of 1900 in was elected a member of the Sixth Legislative Assembly Representative District from Logan County.

Miles and Lucy Mudge Allen are both buried in Meridian along with Miles parents.
