Sylinda Lorraine Elizabeth Vallandingham

Sylinda was my maternal Grandmother.

This is a photo of my grandmother at 19.  She was part Cherokee Indian. 

Parents of Sylinda were Richard and Eliza Jane Hatcher Vallandingham.
who died when she was young and made her and Mosco orphans.  They were early farmers in Ester, Oklahoma. 
I think that is Pottawatomie County, and they are buried in Vista Cemetery, Pottawatomie County

He was a redhead.  From what I gather, from all the receipts, he must have been a VERY honest man who paid his bills early. The bankers and mercantile business people were more than glad to do business with him.

This is Sylinda and James with the old black Buick that she didn't sell until 1966 when she got a new Buick that she kept until she died.
This is Sylinda, my mother Lanorah and me. I was born Dec 10th.  I was her birthday present and we always celebrated our birthdays together

This is Sylinda and James walking me. 
He died in 1954.

This is Amanda Hatcher Snider. 
She is the half sister of Janie Vallandingham

 

Uncle Billie only lived to be two years old. 
I have these coveralls.
