Peggy and Gerald Pointer

After graduation I went to work for Dr. R. O. Waddle. J. W. and I were married in August of 1950.

We moved to Louisianna until he was sent to Korea with the 45th Division.

I moved back to Eufaula and went to work for Dr. W. E. Wendell and worked for him until we moved to Tahlequah for J. W. To attend college along with Joe Mac, Leroy and Marshall Warren.

Our daughter was born there in 1954. Her name is Deborah Louise McNatt and I have two beautiful granddaughters, Kristian Blair Stiles, age 23 and Ashlye Nanette Galvan age 20. Ashlye has a 19 month old boy named Taylor Matoy Galvan. She lives in Dickenson, TX, works, goes to college and is a full time wife and Mother. (what a load) Kristie just graduated from SMU and is pursring her career in politics working for Al Gore in New Hampshire. (I refused to let he rwork for Clinton)

We moved to Dallas in 1958 and J. W. and I divorced in 1981.

When we moved to Dallas I went to work for Braniff Airlines and was there for 18 years - until the time they closed the doors in 1982.

Through my brother-in-law I met a man by the name of Gerald Pointer. Gerald gave me a job (when Braniff went under) as an Assistant Manager at an apartment complex he owned. Well one thing lead to another and so in1988 we were married.

There have been some happy days in my life because he taught me a new way of life. Shooting a shot gun. We have traveled all over the world hunting and shooting competitive shoots. I'll brag a bit, but I have many trophies I have won. We shot the British Grand Prix in 22 Birds and I went into the last four targets with the gold in my hand - unfortunately - I missed three out fo the last four and fell to the bronze. Gerald won the gold at the shoot. We have a travel trailer and take extended trips (as far as Nova Scotia) Love traveling and shooting. Gerald still owns two apartment complexes so we have to come home sometime. Maybe he will fully retire in a few years and we can spend more time traveling.

I have enjoyed hearing from everyone - just wish more of our class had responded.

P.S. Ruth Marie does not have the prettiest and smartest grandchildre. I DO. HA.
