The Pawnee Chief

   PATRICIA MAE LONE CHIEF TIGER, 70, passed away in Tulsa on Sunday, August 10, 2003, and funeral services will be held in Tulsa with burial here, 
Thursday.
She was born in Pawnee on August 1, 1933 to Charles Lone Chief, Sr. and Mae Hazel (Wright) Lone Chief, she was a member of the Pawnee tribe and attended
Pawnee schools graduating with the class of 1951.
Pat married Lloyd F. Tiger in Tulsa on December 18, 1953 and moved to Tulsa in 1960 and remained there where she was a nurse aid in Doctor’s Hospital
until she retired. She was also a homemaker and loved to sew traditional clothes for her family and did beadwork, too.
Her husband preceded her in death on May 9, 2001.
Pat was a member of the All Tribes Community Church in Tulsa and had been a member of the First Christian Church in Pawnee.
Surviving are 2 daughters and a son: Patty Beaston and Renata Jo Tiger, both of Tulsa and Russell Tiger of Garland,, Texas: son-in-law Karl Beaston,
daughters-in-law Wonzie (Klinekole) Tiger and Cathy Wamego, plus 2 grandchildren – Echo Leigh Tiger and Rion Tiger and a great grandson, Dominic Tiger,
all of Turley, Okla.
She is also survived by a brother, Charles (Buddy) Lone Chief, Jr., Tulsa and a sister, Marlene Kent, Oklahoma City plus an aunt and uncle – Bessie Byrd
and Dee J. Wright, both of Princeton, Illinois, plus a number of other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Lloyd Tiger and her parents, Charles Lone Chief, Sr. and Mae Lone Chief; a granddaughter Tiffany Nicole Tiger
and 2 sisters – Charlene and Charlesetta Lone Chief.
Wake services will be held today (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. at the All Tribes Community Church at 2501 East Archer in Tulsa.
Funeral services will be held at the same church at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2003, with Pastor Glynnis LaBarre officiating.
Committal service will be in the North Indian Cemetery followed by the mourning feast at 2 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose center.
Arrangements are being handled by the Poteet Funeral Home of Pawnee.
