LLOYD, AULT
Family of Judy Jones Arnold

I'm a descendant of Pontotoc pioneers. John Wesley and Ollie are my greatgrandparents:

In 1889 John Wesley Lloyd and his wife Olinda Josephine Ault Lloyd (Ollie) and their young daughters Myrtle Lee and Lola Vesta came to the Indian Territory. He was a Methodist preacher and missionary to the Indian tribes, and was assigned at various circuits over the Territory.
In 1905 he was assigned to Stonewall. He was again assigned to Stonewall in 1914; apparently he retired there and lived there and in Francis until he died in Francis in 1923 and is buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis.
Ollie and John Wesley had five more daughters born in Indian Territory; Winnie Mae, Bessie Esther, Helen Emeline, Jennie Lind, and Virginia Tennessee. Virginia, Myrtle, and Jennie are buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery with their parents and Myrtle's daughter Lynette who died in 1918 at the age of 11.
