Notices were posted for an election to be held on March 13, 1920. The election was held and forty- eight votes were cast for consolidation and fourteen votes were cast against consolidation. On March 16, 1920 the old districts of Sedalia or Lower Sandstone and Success were declared disorganized and a consolidated was formed as Herring.
