Funeral services for James Bennett “Ben” COLE Jr., 53, of Gore will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Oakcrest Church of Christ in Oklahoma City under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. COLE was born on June 30, 1958, in El Paso, Texas to James Bennett COLE Sr. and Ina (WELLS) COLE. He died on Friday, March 30, 2012, in Sallisaw. He was retired from the City of Oklahoma City as the field operations supervisor for the Equipment Services Division and was a youth minister and Deacon of Lake Road Church of Christ. He married Martha CARTER on Feb. 16, 1980, in Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife, Marti COLE of the home; two sons, Corey Bennett COLE and Christopher James COLE, both of Moore; his parents, of Shawnee; and several other relatives and friends.

Smiley ECHOLS passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the age of 91. Smiley was born to Blanche and Doy ECHOLS in Stigler on June 1, 1920. After growing up in Braggs, Smiley began a career in the Air Force that took him to Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Alabama, Minnesota, and Michigan, with off-shore assignments in Guam, Kwajalein, Hawaii, Thailand, Japan, England and Vietnam. He was a veteran of World War II and Vietnam. Smiley is survived by his children, Jim ECHOLS and Cindy and Donna EDGELL and Butch; his stepsons, Kirk SABROSKY and Kim, Kevin SABROSKY and Jennifer, and C.J. SABROSKY; a sister, Betty ECHOLS OGDON; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wives, Virginia Louise BIGGS ECHOLS and Mary Kay STRECKER SABROSKY ECHOLS; his parents; and his brothers, Doy ECHOLS Jr., Chester ECHOLS, Frank Leon ECHOLS, Quinton ECHOLS and Calvin ECHOLS. Services will be held Friday at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel in Mesa, Ariz., with visitation at 9 a.m. and funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice or to Hospice of the Valley.

Funeral services for Doyle Eugene FARRIS HINDMAN, 78, of Sallisaw are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Revs. Vernon Stone and John Davis officiating. Burial is at Seabolt Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HINDMAN was born on March 17, 1934, in Akins to Raymond HINDMAN and Pearl Maxine (STEVENSON) HINDMAN. He died on Sunday, April 1, 2012, in Sallisaw. He was a mechanic at Sears and a mechanic for 20 years in the Navy. He married Agatha Anita Annette CASEY on Nov. 12, 1965, in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death in April 1989. Survivors include one daughter, Janet HINDMAN of Sallisaw; one son, Michael HINDMAN of Lakewood, Fla.; one sister, Carol HINDMAN of Roland; two brothers, Dale HINDMAN of Sallisaw and Keith HINDMAN of Van Buren, Ark.; and several other family members and friends. Pallbearers are family members and Don Tibbits and Craig Edgmon II. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services for Ruby Cloeta COMPTON MATTESON, 89, of Sallisaw were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sallisaw City Cemetery with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. MATTESON was born on Sept. 7, 1922, in Harrison to Orval COMPTON and Jessie (BRUTON) COMPTON. She died on Friday, March 30, 2012, in Sallisaw. She was a waitress in California. Survivors include two daughters, Jessie HUDSON of Sallisaw and Joyce WOOD of Okmulgee; four sons, Ken MAYNARD and Billy MAYNARD, both of Bakersfield, Calif., Odell MAYNARD of Challis, Idaho and Dennis MAYNARD of Auburn, Calif.; one sister, Freda LATTIMORE of Akins; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Thell MAYNARD; second husband, Arthur MATTESON; one sister, Loretta IZQUIERDO; two brothers, Walter and Clifford COMPTON; and two great grandsons. Pallbearers were her great-grandsons.

Graveside services for Barbara Sue NELSON, 70, of Cowlington were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cowlington Cemetery with the Revs. Eddie Blankenship and Jerry Turner officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Mrs. NELSON was born on Jan. 2, 1942, in Cowlington to Joe and Thelma (JONES) DILLARD. She died on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching “her boys” play ball. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn HAMMONTREE and husband, Bobby of Spiro; two sons, Kenny NELSON of Cowlington and Michael NELSON and fiancé, Kendra FARRAR of Huntington, Ark.; three sisters, Bertha YOST and husband, Neal of Stigler, Phyllis WILLIAMS of Dallas, Texas, and Kathy TAYLOR of Roland; four brothers, Howard DILLARD and wife, Teresa and Gary DILLARD and wife, Lynn, all of Tulsa, Duel DILLARD and wife, Martha of Fort Smith, and Dannie DILLARD and wife, Donna of Kiefer; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ted DILLARD. Pallbearers were Gary Nelson, Rick Nelson, Keith Goodwin, Bobby Whittaker, Billy Hunt and Ron Ohlde.

Graveside services for Shirley ROE RALEY, 76 of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Liberty Cemetery, north of Muldrow, with the Rev. Curtis Mitchell officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. RALEY was born on July 27, 1935, in Maple to Hugh ROE and Joanah (JACKSON) ROE. She died on Sunday, April 1, 2012, in Fort Smith. She worked for Dixie Cup and was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Mark MONTGOMERY of Pocola; one daughter, Vickie MONTGOMERY of Muldrow; one brother, Harvey C. ROE of Pocola; her companion, Charles CARTER of Greenwood, Ark.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers are Doug Cantrell, Josh Friend, Josh Montgomery, David Wilson and Jacob Wilson.

Connie K. SCROGGINS died on Monday, April 2, 2012, in Sallisaw. She was born on April 7, 1947, in Amarillo, Texas to Alva and Nellie (BARKER) Ruffner. No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Survivors include three daughters, Kimberly SMITH and husband, Richard of Vian, Julie BIRKENFIELD and husband, Stephen of Amarillo and Amy HUBBARD and husband, Teddy of Borger, Texas; one son, Michael Paul SCROGGINS and wife, Melinda of Jasper, Ala.; one brother, Jerry RUFFNER and wife, Cass of Midland, Texas; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and two brothers, Larry RUFFNER and Kenny RUFFNER.

Funeral services for Jimmy Wayne YOUNG, 54, of Vian will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Clifton Pettit officiating. Burial will be at Dwight Mission under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. YOUNG was born on Aug. 14, 1957, in Tahlequah to James Carl and Ella Maxine (BALLARD) YOUNG. He died on Sunday, April 1, 2012, in Warner. Survivors include two sons, Joshua YOUNG of Gore and Shylow YOUNG of Sallisaw; his mother, of Vian; two sisters, Cherokee WALLIS of Cedarville, Ark., and Mag FLETCHER of Warner; two brothers, Marlin YOUNG and Thomas YOUNG, both of Vian; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Sue BARNES; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

John BROWN, 40, of Vian died on Friday, March 30, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Jan. 14, 1972, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Johnny Lee BROWN Sr., and Barbara (OSMON) BROWN-BOOKOUT. He moved to the Vian area in 1992, to be close to his family. He enjoyed low rider automobiles and anything electronic, including video games. Survivors include his father, Johnny Lee BROWN Sr. and stepmother, Julia, of Muldrow; his mother, of the home; one son, Curtis BROWN of Henryetta; one brother, Jack BROWN and wife, Michelle of Vian; two stepsisters, Sheri and Shawna FLETCHER, both of California; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by twin boys, Micheal and Johnny Lee BROWN III; stepfather, Scott BOOKOUT; and two grandparents. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory of Wagoner.

Stephen Michael HIRSCH, 60, of Sallisaw died on Monday, April 2, 2012, in Sallisaw. He was born on Nov. 15, 1951, in Fort Hood, Texas to Roy BROWN and Patsy J. O’NEAL. No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was a general laborer. Survivors include four sons, Patrick HIRSCH of Colorado, Michael HIRSCH of Edwardsville, Ill., Joshua HIRSCH of Gans and Scott HIRSCH of Tahlequah; three grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Steven Ray LAFFERTY, 38, of Gore were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Webbers Falls with the Revs. Vol Woods and Rick Hobbs officiating. Burial was at Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. LAFFERTY was born on Nov. 28, 1973, in Muskogee to Ray and Cathy (McMAHON) LAFFERTY. He died on Monday, April 2, 2012, south of Braggs. He was a welder and a lifelong resident of Braggs. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Survivors include his daughter, Ashley LAFFERTY; his parents, of Gore; brother, Greg LAFFERTY of Gore; and several other family members and friends. Pallbearers were Andy White, Eric Adams, Shelby Rains, Zach Munzenrider, Wesley McMahon and Adam Henson.

Funeral services for Silas “Si” REAL, 84, of McKey are being held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Curtis Bias officiating. Burial is at Drake Stand Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. REAL was born on May 17, 1927, in McKey to Allen REAL and Ida (GOODWIN) REAL. He died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Muskogee. He worked at Whirlpool and was a farmer and rancher. He married Alene GARDENHIRE on June 25, 1953. Survivors include his wife, Alene REAL of the home; two daughters, Lori HOPKINS of Fort Smith, Ark., and Valerie PLUMMER of Spiro; three sons, Michael REAL and Gordon REAL, both of McKey and Jeff REAL of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Barbara REAL of McKey; two sisters, Ada BLOUNT of Mckey and Virginia McCOMBS of Bakersfield, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are his grandsons, David Real, Matthew Real, Joshua Real, Zachary Cain, Silas Real and Adam Real. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and Patrick REAL; his parents; seven brothers, Jim, Wylie, Monroe, A.C., Adam, Carrol and Harrell REAL; and three sisters, Rosie NEWTON, Valerie BELL and Hattie DOTSON..

Howard Dale TOUNZEN Sr., of Sallisaw was born on Aug. 25, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Horace and Jesse Pauline (CANTRELL) TOUNZEN, and passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, in Fort Smith at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife, Patricia JoAnne TOUNZEN of the home; one daughter, Susan TOUNZEN BARGER and husband, Charles of Stilwell; one son, Howard Dale TOUNZEN Jr., and wife, Sherry of Sallisaw; two brothers, Harold TOUNZEN of Stilwell and Henry TOUNZEN of Skiatook; three grandchildren, Dustin SPARKS and wife, Crystal of Fort Gibson, Leslie McCOY and husband, T.C. of Tahlequah and Isabella Grace BARGER of Stilwell; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Patricia TYLER. He married Patricia JoAnne DORITY on Jan. 5, 1969, and they were married for 43 years. He loved NASCAR. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore and the Rev. Dale Phelps officiating. Viewing will be noon to 8 p.m. Friday, with family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Graveside services for Harold WILLIAMS, 68, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Mr. WILLIAMSams died on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Vian. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

David Roy JACKSON passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, a the home of his son, Richard, in Acton, Calif. He was variously known as D.R., Jack, Roy and Bugs. Jack was born in Jenks on Nov. 11, 1915, to Neavill (SLOAN) and Franklin JACKSON. He went to school in Jenks until the seventh grade and then went to Bowlegs where he graduated high school in 1934. He was active in sports and even made second-string all-conference in football twice. After high school he attended East Central University in Ada graduating in 1939. He then taught industrial arts at Butner, where he met his future wife, Winnie Lee BEACH. Jack left teaching and rode his motorcycle to Long Beach, Calif., to work in the shipyards. Winnie came out by train in January 1942, they met each other in Yuma, Ariz., and were married that night. They moved to Seminole in March of 1944, where Jack went to work for Lane Wells Co. He would work for Lane Wells for the next 17 years in Oklahoma City, Healdton and Guymon. He then took a job with Wireline Services in Wyoming and after a short stay in Green River lived in Casper, Wyo., from 1960 to 1983. The company was bought out by Gearhart Owens. In 1979, the couple moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, with Gearhart where he would work until retirement. The couple then moved to Sallisaw in 1982. It was in Sallisaw that Winnie passed away in 1993. Jack remained in Sallisaw and met Betty PEARSON who remained his companion until February of 2012 when, due to failing health, he moved in with his son, Richard, in Acton. Jack had many interests in his live. Among the chief ones were fishing and gardening. He was always generous with his abundance and many people will miss the fresh fish and vegetables that he would provide. He was also an avid bowler He enjoyed dancing, sports and professional wrestling. In later years he became involved with the Sallisaw Nutrition Center. He was an avid reader of western novels and a frequent visitor to the Sallisaw library. Even after falling ill he would read as long as someone would turn the pages for him. Jack always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He made friends easily and was generous and helpful to anyone that asked. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James JACKSON; sister, Lois SPILLER, and sister Frances MORSE; and his beloved wife, Winnie. He is survived by his sons, David and wife, Connie (EBY) , Richard and companion, Neldo MAYO, Dennis and wife, Donna (DALTON); and daughter, Ellen PERKINS and husband, Thomas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and his companion of the last 17 years, Betty PEARSON. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1101 N. Wheeler Ave., in Sallisaw at 2p.m. April 17, 2012. In lieu of flowers, please, make a donation to the nearest hospice or a Sequoyah County public library.

Howard Dale KAIN of Sallisaw was born on July 26, 1945, in Sallisaw to Jim and Oma (BERRY) KAIN and passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Little Rock, Ark., at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife, Betty KAIN of the home; one daughter, Lee Ann KANAZAR and husband, Daniel of Edmond; one granddaughter, Madison Anne KANAZAR of Edmond; three sisters, Margaret BERRY of Sallisaw and Judy KAIN, both of Sallisaw and Debbie MILLER of Claremont, N.C.; two brothers, Dilbert KAIN and wife, Joanie of El Reno and Ronnie KAIN and wife, Roberta of Alma, Ark.; sisters-in-law, Johnnie CAMBELL and husband, Bobbie of Gore, Barbara CLARK and husband, Clint of Fort Smith, Ark., Joan PETTIT and husband, Chester of Sallisaw, Mary WARD and husband, Jake MILLER of Springfield, Mo., Virginia FIELDS and husband, David REED of Fort Smith, Patricia GARRETT of Sallisaw, Fonda MURPHY and husband, Larry of Warner and Sonda SMITHPETERS of Tulsa; brothers-in-law, Aaron CHILDERS of Roland; Samuel CHILDERS of Springfield, Paul CHILDERS of Sallisaw, Hughie CHILDERS and wife, Arlene of Stilwell, and Tony WICKS and wife, Ann of Wiltshire, England, UK; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Shearl KAIN, Jack Kain, Charles KAIN, Clyde KAIN and Jerry KAIN. Howard graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1963. He married Betty Ann CHILDERS in November 1972, and they were married for 39 years. Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Graveside services for John R. WEBSTER, 89, of Sallisaw will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Akins Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Viewing will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. WEBSTER was born on June 1, 1922, in Sequoyah County to Dave and Nora (HONEYCUTT) WEBSTER. He died on Monday, April 2, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a farm laborer, picked fruit and was an equipment mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, eating fried catfish and playing cards. He married Verla Marie WEBSTER in 1957. Survivors include one son, J.C. WALTON of Boise, Idaho; one brother, David WEBSTER of Wichita, Kan.; one brother-in-law, Orval BURCHAM; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Troy and Grady WALTON; and one sister, Audrey SKIDMORE.

Funeral services for Alvin Leroy COLLISON, 85, of Muldrow are being held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with Gerald Wilson officiating. Burial at Wilson Cemetery at Black Jack Ranch will be at a later date under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. COLLISON was born on Jan. 1, 1927, in Winchester, Ill., to John COLLISON and Mabel (DICKENS) COLLISON. He died on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in Muldrow. He was retired from quality control at Caterpillar. He married Shirley Rae HARRIS on Oct. 16, 1950, in Lewiston, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Shirley COLLISON of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberlee Sue and Gerald WILSON, of Muldrow; three sisters, Lecie KING and Edith KENNEDY, both of Winchester, Ill., and Sue MILIKEN of North Carolina; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Wade Wilson, Ken Wilson, Brock Wilson, Kendell Wilson, Jim Edwards and Rod Schuck.

Funeral services for Rodolfo “Rudy” FRAIRE, 36, of Sallisaw were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with Father Desmond Okpogba officiating. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. FRAIRE was born on July 19, 1975, in Zacatecas, Mexico to Cornelio FRAIRE and Graciela (OLVERA) FRAIRE. He died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Oklahoma City. He was a cook for Cazadores Mexican Restaurant. He married Amanda Lynn TUCKER on Sept. 19, 1997, in Purcell. Survivors include his wife, Amanda FRAIRE of the home; two daughters, Vanessa and Isabella of the home; one son, Rudy of the home; his parents, of Mexico City, Mexico; two sisters, Claudia FRAIRE and Zenaida FRAIRE, both of Mexico City; one brother, Rogelio FRAIRE of Mexico City; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Pallbearers were Bill Valdivia, Pedro Hernandez, Chava Villapanda, Julio Hernandez, Chito Buendia and William Renfro.

Funeral services for Ronald Jacob GIRTY, 38, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial was at Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Checotah Funeral Services of Checotah. Mr. GRTY was born on March 13, 1974, in Tahlequah to Jacob and Opal Marie (ROE) GRTY. He died on Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Muskogee. He attended Warner Schools and worked for the Water Department for the City of Muskogee. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, Jacob and Joey GRTY of Warner; his mother, Opal Marie MOSES of Porum; six brothers, Ross, Johnny, Kevin and Jeffrey GRTY, all of Porum, Travis ALEXANDER of Checotah, Kelly ALEXANDER of Pryor and Jon ALEXANDER of Coweta; sisters, Karen DOKE of Porum, Elizabeth and Jerrlyn, both of Pryor, and Rhonda Sue and Trudy of Tennessee; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Sharon GRTY; his grandfather; and stepfather. Pallbearers were Ross Girty, Johnny Girty, Kevin Girty, Jeffrey Girty, Jimmy Don Doke, Billy Ray Cowett, Carl Warren and Otto Warren.

Graveside services for Gloria Laverne YATES, 83, of Boyce/Alexandria, La., were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville, La, with the family officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. YATES was born on Dec. 10, 1928, in Boyce to Edward H. BROW and Irene (WELLBURN) BROW. She died on Thursday, April 5, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was a homemaker. She married Elmer Finis YATES on July 5, 1947, in Alexandria. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia “Trish” HUDSPETH of Marshall, Texas, Elizabeth Faye YATES of Sallisaw and Janet Lynn NORRIS of Cypress, Texas; two sons, Richard YATES of Conroe, Texas and Clifford YATES of State Center, Iowa; two sisters, Hilda WAGNER of Baltimore, M.D. and Evon AIRHART of Dry Prong, La.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one sister, Toby WAGNER; and two brothers, Wallace and Mark BROW.

Kendall Lee SEARCEY, 27, of Sallisaw died on Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on May 25, 1984, in Modesto, Calif. Cremation is under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. He was a brick press operator. Survivors include his parents, David and Kendra PHELTS; two sons, Kendall Lee SEARCEY Jr., and Andrew Joel SEARCEY, both of Sallisaw; one brother, Ryan TAYLOR of Shell Lake, Wis.; and his paternal grandparents.

Memorial services for Rosalie STEWART, 87, of Oklahoma City were held at the Chapel at Baptist Village Community at 2 p.m. March 20, 2012. Mrs. STEWART was born on March 10, 1925, in Sallisaw to Bill and Alta (SUMPTER) BYRD. She died on Saturday, March 17, 2012. She graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1944. Then married Wayne STEWART in 1944, and they moved to Oklahoma City, where Wayne went to work for Coca-Cola Bottling Company. They lived there more than 60 years, but part of their heart would always remain in Sallisaw. Rosalie lived a faith-filled life, spending time with family, cooking great meals and helping to look after her two grandchildren. She was a member of First Christian Church of Oklahoma City. Survivors include one sister, Donna Ann BETTS; daughter, Donna COHN and husband, Doug ESTEP; grandson, Zac COHN and fiancée, Carrie BOSTON; granddaughter, Dr. Michell COHN and husband, Joe SUTHERLAND; great-granddaughter, Jadyn Cohn SUTHERLAND; nephews, Bill C. BYRD and Lane BETTS; niece, Adrianne HOPKINS; special friends and cousins, Gilbert and Reba GREEN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife, Reba COX of the home; three children, Dusty Natasha Marie FRENCH of Melrose, N.M., George Andrew COX of Herford, Texas and Scott TRAMMELL and wife, Michelle of Winchester, Va.; eight grandchildren; his mother, of Muskogee; brother, Eddie COX and wife, Lorretta of Gore; sisters, Linda JENSEN and husband, Arni of Mineral Wells, Texas and Sue DANIEL and husband, David of Plano, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father. Pallbearers are Gary Cox, Butch Cox, Tommy Cox, Paul Swearingen, Dusty Ross, James Cox, Duke Zinzer, Burt Zinzer, Jamie Cox and Brett Beavers.

Funeral services for Janice BATY GRAY, 64, of Muldrow are being held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Richard Crawford officiating. Burial is at Fleetwood Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. GRAY was born on Dec. 4, 1947, in Tahlequah to Alfred Hugh BATY and Mary Etta (GRESHAM) BATY. She died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Okmulgee. She was a homemaker. She married Bobbie Joe GRAY on Nov. 1, 1966, in Poteau. Survivors include one daughter, Gwendlyn BENN; two sons, Bobbie Alfred GRAY and Roy Dean GRAY; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Freeda KEITH, Joyce CASON and Treva LAIRD; two brothers Jim and Lloyd BATY; and several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four sisters, Ethel, Virgie and Lois BATY and Farrell RENFRO; and six brothers, Gordon, Doyle, Bob, Dewayne, Dale and Wayne BATY. Pallbearers are Michael Watkins, Ted Hanson, Gary Hartley, Tom Palmer, Dean Reichart and Shawn Cowan.

Funeral services for Alene PETREE LEWIS, 87, of Shawnee are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow with the Revs. Al Ruckman and Anthony Williams officiating. Burial is at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. LEWIS was born on June 5, 1924, in Bloomer, Ark., to Wesley LASITER and Elsie (REESE) LASITER. She died on Thursday, April 26, 2012, in Muldrow. She worked in upholstery. Survivors include four daughters, Nancy CLARK of Earlsboro, Chris LEWIS of Luther, Lahoma MITCHELL of Eufaula and Fredia GOULD of Muldrow; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene TUTTLE of Arkoma. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred PETREE; second husband, Bonnie Roy LEWIS; three daughters, Lauretta PETREE, Beverly CLARK and Carrie PHILLIPS; her parents; two sisters, Lou QUADE and Bernadine LIVELY; and two brothers, Harold and Don LASITER.

Funeral services for Marsha Victoria LINDER, 60, of Plantation, Fla., are being held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with Chris Real officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. LINDER was born on April 28, 1951, in Miami, Fla., to William Bennett TOMPKINS and Martha Jo PERDEW. She died on Monday, April 23, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two sons, David Earl ROGERS Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah and Kenneth Charles LINDER of Tallahassee, Fla.; one grandson; one sister, Brenda Corine WEISS of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Marshall Bennett TOMPKINS of Baxley, Ga.; and her stepmother, Laura TOMPKINS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Ervin LINDER; her parents; and her stepfather, Frederick James PERDEW.

Graveside services for Vernon Gordon RACHEL, 98, of Gans are being held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ball Hill Cemetery, near Russellville, Ark., with Wayne Vernon Rachel officiating under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Mr. RACHEL was born on July 20, 1913, in Russellville to James Edward and Elizabeth (SHINN) RACHEL. He died on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in Gans. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Sallisaw and was a retired truck driver for Time Lines Freight. Survivors include a son, Jerry Vernon RACHEL of Barling, Ark.; a daughter, Sandra ABBEY of Gans; a sister, Norma SMITH of Russellville; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaVee RACHEL; three brothers, Edward, Ralph and Eugene RACHEL; and four sisters, Mattie RACHEL, Pauline ANDERSON, Evelyn PHILLIPS and Laviena BABU.

Funeral services for Sheila Leta DRISCOLL RIDDLE, 67, of Muldrow will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Randy Farmer officiating. Burial will be at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. RIDDLE was born on July 28, 1944, in Muskogee to Bill DRISCOLL and Lois (AUTREY) DRISCOLL. She died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Roland. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Franklin RIDDLE; two sons, Brian RIDDLE of Roland and Larry Dale RIDDLE of Tulsa; four sisters, Leta REED of Pocola, Mary Lou and Alene METCALF, both of Tulsa and Joanne BIBB of Gans; and seven brothers, J.V. DRISCOLL of Fort Smith, Ark., Charles GOINES of Roland and Billy DRISCOLL of Greenwood, Ark. Pallbearers will be Scotty Riddle, Keith Riddle, John Glenn Riddle, David Riddle Jr., Wesley Riddle and Tony Thibodeaux.

Graveside services for Joseph Dillon SALLEE, 25, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw with Pastor Chris Armer officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. SALLEE was born on Dec. 31, 1986, in Sallisaw to Carl Dale SALLEE and Lynda Diane WILSON. He died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Sallisaw. He was a driver. Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Justin SALLEE of Moore and Jeremiah SALLEE and Dane CRUM, both of Vian; and several other family members and friends, Pallbearers were Justin Sallee, Jeremiah Sallee, Elijah Cloud, Dane Crum, Kelly Copeland and Howard Copeland.
