Funeral services for Truong NGUYEN, 87, of Fort Smith, Ark. are being held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Fort Smith. Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction Putman Funeral home of Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife Tien of the home; four daughters, Tien, Tho, Thuy, and Thu; four sons, Tuynh, Tran, Tan and Thanh; 33 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kenneth C. RIGGS, 67, of Sallisaw, are being held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial is in Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, under the direction Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau. Mr. RIGGS was born November 11, 1937 in Floydada, Texas to Cratus and Fern (WILCOX) RIGGS. He died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 in Sallisaw. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Ray and Michael; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie and Linda, Donnie and Phyllis; one brother-in-law, Charles; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Bettie HURLEY, Carolyn RIGGS, Joyce KIRKLEY, Shirley ANTHONY and Ramona KING; and one nephew, Donnie RIGGS II.

Graveside services for Leona G. SCOTT, 66, of Sallisaw, were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Brent Cemetery with Rev. Herbert Lee officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. Scott was born November 17, 1938 in Sequoyah County, to Clarence GARDENHIRE and Cokie (BARNES) GARDENHIRE. She died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in Sallisaw. She married Bill J. SCOTT November 12, 1960 in Stilwell. Survivors include her husband, Bill of the home; one daughter, Katherine Lynn; two sons, Kenneth Wayne, and Jimmy Lee and his wife Rosa; five grandchildren; one sister, Alene; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Reba OLIVER.

Funeral services for Verdie "Beatrice" SHRUM, 75, ofPorum, will be held at 2:30p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ with Mr. Alien Lawson and Mr. Tommy Young officiating. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, near Porum, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. SHRUM was born May 27, 1929 in Broken Arrow, to Sid and Annie (SMALLWOOD) HENDRIXSON. She died Wednesday, April 27,2005 in Porum. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy and husband Charlie, and Karen and husband Tim; one son, Tommie and wife Joan; three sisters, Virginia, Wanda, and Janice; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie SHRUM, and one son, Ronnie Gene SHRUM.

Funeral services for Tommy SWAIM, 67, of Dyer, Ark., will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel, in Van Buren, Ark. Burial of cremains will be at a later date under the direction of Ocker Funeral home of Van Buren. Survivors include one daughter, DeEtta; two sons, Roger and Johnny; three sisters Freda, Betty and Glenda; six brothers, Charles, Jack, Robert, Earl, Jerry and Jim; and three grandchildren He was preceded in death by both parents, Fred and Evelyn (DUNN) SWAIM.

Funeral services for Emma VINES, 71, of Mansfield, were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Ark. Burial was in Dooley Cemetery in Boles, Ark., under the direction of Martin Funeral home of Waldron. Survivors include her husband L. D. VINES of the home; seven daughters, Dianna, Shirley, Nancy, Sherry, Lena, Laurie, Debbie; three sons, James, Steven, and Randy; one sister, Fran; two brothers, Joe and Emil; 24 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Steven L.D. VINES.

Funeral services for Faye Floyd WATERS, 80, of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Lowell Churchill and the Rev. Herbert Lee officiating. Burial will be in Drake Stand Cemetery southwest of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. WATERS was born July 12, 1924, in Redland, to Arthur T. Floyd and Amanda Melissa (PEARSEY) FLOYD. She died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. WATERS married Euckley David WATERS on Dec. 7, 1940, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Euckayla and Gene, and Deborah Ann; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Ruby TOMKINS, Opal CHURCHILL, and Mildred OGDEN; and one brother, Freeman FLOYD.

Burial was in Bayou Meto Cemetery in Bayou Meto, Ark., under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. JACKSON was born September 4, 1926 in Reydell, Ark. to Alfred CULLIPHER and Marie AYERS. She died Monday, May 2, 2005 in Sallisaw. Survivors include five daughters, Sissy and husband Doug, Sarah and husband Jerry, Marion and husband Roger, Sybil and husband Stanley, Donna and husband Terry; two sons, Johnny and wife Robin, and Bobby and wife Shirley; one sister, Daisy and husband Richard; one brother, Archie and wife Ruby; and cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; 31 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Charlie JACKSON, her second husband Woodrow BATES, two grandsons, Bryan JACKSON, Mel HEARN, Jr., two great-grandchildren, B.J. STARKS, Madison STARKS, one sister, Bertha CUEVAS, and one brother, Albert CULLIPHER.

He died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Dorothy Jean MONTGOMERY April 18, 1947 in Oxnard, Calif. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Dorothy, and Linda; one son, Richard Lee; three sisters, Eulene, Jody and Alpha; three brothers, Porter, Frank and Raymond; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Raymond Chronister officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. LOWE was born September 28, 1944 in Akins, to Lewis "Butch" LOWE and Lizzie Mae (DUTY) LOWE. He died Sunday, May 1, 2005 in Tahlequah. He married Linda LOWE July 5, 1997 in Tahlequah. Survivors include his wife of the home; one step-daughter; one step-son; one step-granddaughter; three sisters, Helen, Joyce D., Janie; several nieces, nephews, cousins and one aunt, Akie.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of the home; one daughter, Shelly and husband Fred; one son; Jeffrey and wife Beckie; three sisters, Audrey, Christine and Betty; four brothers, Oron "Bud", Vernon, Samuel, and Larry Don; two grandchildren; and special friends, Jim and Patsy. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mary FOREMAN and twin brother Harold MURRELL.

Mr. PIRRIE was born January 28, 1945 in Port Huron, Ontario, Canada, to Ferguson Pirrie and Marjorie (SWAINSON) PIRRIE. He died Friday, April 29, 2005 in Sallisaw. He married Arla Letha PASSNO July 10, 1964 in Alhambra, Calif. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Art and Elizabeth, and Thomas Brent; two granddaughters; one brother, Timothy; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Thelma PASSNO.

Mr. WEAVER was born September 11, 1932 in Wynnewood, to Lemuel Richard WEAVER and Andy Lee (HARRIS) WEAVER. He died Sunday May 1, 2005 in Gore. He married Mary Lorraine BENNETT on November 25, 1956 at Dilley, Texas. Mr. Anderson, was born December 16, 1950 in Sallisaw, to Charley Maine ANDERSON, Sr. and Mable (KIBBIE) ANDERSON. He died Friday, May 6, 2005 in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his father, Charley ANDERSON Sr.; three brothers, Clarence, Frank, and Warren; three sisters, Thelma, Marilyn, and Ethel; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah FRENCH.

Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. CHEEK was born February 18, 1925 in Hanson, to Welborn WOODWARD and Anna (SUTTON) WOODWARD. She died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 in Sallisaw. She married Bill CHEEK December 24, 1944 in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly; two granddaughters; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laverne and Betty; two brothers, Owen and Watie; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter, Karen, granddaughter, Kyla, parents and five brothers and two sisters.

Mona Rae COLLINS, 68, of Sallisaw died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in Sallisaw. Funeral services are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eastside Baptist Church in Sallisaw with the Revs. Steve Rutherford and Bill Fuller officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. Born Jan. 3, 1937, in Muldrow to John Wade VAUGHAN and Theodocia (BLACK) VAUGHAN, she married Stanley COLLINS on Aug. 20, 1954, in Roland. Survivors include her husband, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kelli and Dallas, Kim and Dub, and Karen and Gregg; two sons, Bern, and Stanley Ray; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Billy DODD, 58, of Kaw City, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 30, at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City with Rev. Tom Short officiating under the direction of Miller-Stahl Funeral Service. Mr. DODD was born July 16, 1946 in Watonga, to Carl Vincent and Willie Mae (MOORE) DODD. He died Thursday April 28, 2005. Funeral services for Thomas Edward RITCHIE, 49, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Blessed Kateria Catholic Church in Roland. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. RITCHIE died Saturday, May 21, 2005 in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Katherine; one daughter, Jessica; one son, Zachary; two step-daughters, Kara and Paige; one step-son, Keith; mother, Helen RITCHIE; one sister, Pat; two brothers, William and and Terry.

Funeral services for Herman STEELE Sr., 81, of Hackett, Ark., were held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, Ark. Burial was in Hickory Ridge Cemetery east of Lavaca, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca. Mr. STEELE was born July 28, 1923 in Lavaca. He died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in Greenwood, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Brenda and Kathy; two sons, Herman Jr. and Greg; four sisters, Barbara, Virginia, Lucy, and Mary; four brothers, Elbert, Jesse, Kenneth and Eugene; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services for May WOODRUFF, 103, of Gans, were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Gans Assembly of God Church with Revs. Richard Cress and Clyde Yakley officiating. Burial was in Gans Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. WOODRUFF was born Dec. 24, 1901 in Gans, to James Anderson CHOATE and Rosetta (CHRISTENBERRY) CHOATE. She died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in Gans. She married Frank Morgan WOODRUFF April 15, 1920 in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Lesola; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Lottie, and Frank and Donna; one daughter-in-law, Maxine; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two special caregivers, Etta and Louve. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Hershel WOODRUFF, one grandson, James WOODRUFF and 11 brothers and sisters.

Graveside services for Ann Lorraine YSBRAND, 37, of Blackwell, are being held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. David Parker officiating under the direction of Roberts and Son Funeral Home of Blackwell. Mrs. YSBRAND was born April 24, 1968 in Tulsa, to Tom and Deanna (LAUGHLIN) YSBRAND. She died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in Blackwell. She married Tinch COLE Jr. in May of 1986. Survivors include one son, Tinch "Trey" III; her mother, Deanna JEWSBURY; her father, Tom YSBRAND and wife Sheryl; two sisters, Pam and husband Steve, and Theresa and husband Jim; one half-brother, Jon; one step-brother, Gregg; nephews, Jeff and family, Mike and family; Nieces, Jennifer, Melissa and family, and Tracy.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roy and Ruby LAUGHLIN, paternal grandmother, Mae YSBRAND, step-father, George JEWSBURY, aunt Phyllis WALKER, niece Andrea DENTON and one cousin Matthew SMITH.
