Robert L. CASE, 49, of Arkoma died Sunday, April 30, 2000, in a local hospital. Funeral services are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial is in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Survivors include his mother, Waneta; one sister, Madeline; four brothers, Willis, Gordon, Bill and Dale; 13 nieces and nephews; and 22 grand nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Gussie Aline EDWARDS, 85, of Sallisaw are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sallisaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Brian Zinck officiating. Mrs. EDWARDS was born Dec. 9, 1914, in Sallisaw, to Willis Oscar McCLANAHAN and Jessie Lee (SLOAN) McCLANAHAN. She died Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Sallisaw. She married Charlie Dutch EDWARDS March 17, 1934, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death June 7, 1986. Survivors include one daughter, Charlene; one son and two daughters-in-law, Donnie and Ella, and Joyce; one son-in-law, Steve; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jean. Mrs. EDWARDS was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sadie HARPER; and one son, Billy Charles EDWARDS. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Edith Irene MARTIN, 79, of Sallisaw are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mallory Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Edward Markham officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. MARTIN was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Sallisaw, to Perry and Mary ROWLAND.  She died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Les MARTIN of the home; four sons, Charles Edward, Kenneth, Garry and Donnie; three sisters, Ruby, Edna and Ruth; two brothers, Wayne and Watie; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. MARTIN was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hubert, Clifford and Howard ROWLAND; and one sister, Avis SPARKS.

Graveside services for Peggy MASON, 77, of Gore were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gore City Cemetery, with David G. David officiating. Mrs. MASON was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Rogers, Ark., to Earl and Nettie (FLYNN) WAKELEE. She died Sunday, April 30, 2000, in Oklahoma City. Survivors include one daughter, Dale Earlene and her husband, David; one brother, Dale;one sister, Mildred; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. MASON was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1980. Arrangements were under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service in Webbers Falls.

Graveside services for Lydia Mae MOORE, 91, of Sallisaw are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sallisaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Charley Davis officiating. Mrs. MOORE was born Aug. 17, 1908, in Langston, Ala., to Thomas Berry ANDERSON and Josephine Elizabeth (HILLIAN) ANDERSON. She died Monday, May 1, 2000, in Muskogee Regional Hospital. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Martha, and C.R. and Charlene; one sister, Sallie; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. MOORE was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. MOORE; her parents; five sisters; and three brothers. Arrangements are under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Graveside services for Archie NESTER, 65, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro. Mr. NESTER died Thursday, April 27, 2000, in Fort Smith. He is survived by one brother, Mike. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.

Mary Lillian Maxine NOLAN, 70, of Roland died Sunday, April 30, 2000, in a Fort Smith, Ark., nursing home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, Ark., with the Rev. Wayne Wright and Bro. Jimmy Don Floyd officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt, Ark., under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark. Mrs. NOLAN was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Guthrie, to Charley and Elizabeth CROOKS. Survivors include three daughters, Charlene, Lisha and Brenda; four sons, Jimmy, Stanford, Tommy and Randy; four sisters, Wilma, Erma, Mildred and Edith Virginia; one brother, Roy; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Charles Cecil QUICKEL, 62, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Faith Church, with the Rev. Carl Page officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. QUICKEL was born June 9, 1937, in South Charleston, Ohio, to William and Bertie (SMITH) QUICKEL. He died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Ruthann (VAN PELT) QUICKEL of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and James and Leigh Ann and Tracy; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Greg and Lisa, Todd and Kathy, Tim and Barbara, Chad, and Matt and Angie; three sisters, Ruth, Wanda, Christine; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Betty REED, 80, of Houma, La., formerly of New Orleans, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sallisaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. George Gilland officiating. Burial will be in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. REED was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Weleetka, to Lowell Taylor NEWLON and Vera (SEED) NEWLON. She died Feb. 27, 2000, in Houma.  Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca and her husband, James S.; two grandchildren; one nephew; one great-nephew; and other relatives and friends. Mrs. REED was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. REED.

Funeral services for Nettie RICHARDSON, 89, of Muldrow were held  at 19 a.m. Tuesday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating. Burial was in Upper Camp Creek Cemetery, northeast of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. RICHARDSON was born April 12, 1911, in Muldrow, to John Wesley PETREE and Martha Jane (DAVIS) PETREE. She died Friday, April 28, 2000, in Muldrow. Survivors include three daughters, Lavada, Rebecca and Edna; four sons, Bill, Claudie, Albert and Bobby; 44 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dovie and Myrtle. Mrs. RICHARDSON was preceded in death by her husband, Henry RICHARDSON in 1961.

Funeral services for Antonie Jean ROY, 63, of Muldrow were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, under the direction of Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Mrs. ROY died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at her home. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia; four sons, Cloris "Shorty" Jr., Terrall, Tony and Dewain; two sisters, Juanita and Bernice; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. ROY was preceded in death by her husband, Cloris P. ROY Sr.

Graveside services for Ray SKELTON, 65, of Muldrow were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, with the Revs. Harvey Rogers and Vernon Smith officiating. Mr. SKELTON was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Bokoshe, to Clyde Albert SKELTON and Cecile Ruby (FOX) SKELTON. He died Friday, April 28, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Jerrie Lee DAY July 30, 1955, in Muskogee. Survivors include his wife, Jerrie SKELTON of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Ray and Annette, and Terry Lee and Joyce; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Judy and Loraine. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.

Funeral services for Judith Lynn STEELEY, 39, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mallory Chapel, with Charlie Shell officiating. Burial was in Marble City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. She was born Jan. 12, 1961, in Tahlequah, to George and Pauline (McMINN) STEELEY. She died Thursday, April 27, 1000, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Jymi Lyn; two sons, Brandon and Erik; three sisters, DeLain, Jennifer and Amber; one brother, Graig; her father and mother, George and Pat; and maternal grandmother, Julia.

Funeral services for Ollie Mae VANN, 85, of Muldrow are being held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Daniel Clayton officiating. Burial is in Lattimore Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. VANN was born Sept. 16, 1914, to James and Ada COLE. She died Monday, May 1, 2000, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann; one son, Billy Ray; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. VANN was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ocie VANN; one son, Roy VANN; two sisters; and two brothers.

Burial is in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. BESTUL was born May 19, 1923, in Parkston, S.D., to Clarence and Ida BENSON. She died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Gale "Lucky" BESTUL of the home; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Diane and Don, Elaine and Carl, Nora Jean and Gary, Gayle, and Robin; four sons and one daughter-in-law, William and Sadie, David, Steven and Duane; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Garnet.

Funeral services for Bobby PHILLIPS, 72, of Vian are being held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Vian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chris Trent officiating. Burial is in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. PHILLIPS was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Vian, to Albert A. PHILLIPS and Zena (BAKER) PHILLIPS. He died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Tulsa. He married Ruby Faye ENLOW Feb. 18, 1949, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Ruby PHILLIPS of the home; three daughters, Linda Kay, Barbara and Connie Gwen; one son, Robert Wayne; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, J.D.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. PHILLIPS was preceded in death by eight brothers.

Graveside services for Letha EUBANKS ROSS, 83, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sallisaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Royce Martin officiating. Mrs. ROSS was born Dec. 16, 1916, in McAlester, to James Bruce WHITE and Martha Belle (PENNINGTON) WHITE. She died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Bill ROSS; two sisters, Muriel and Hazel; one grandson; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mrs. ROSS was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol REASON; and two granddaughters, Leslie and Linda. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Raymond W. WILSON, 66, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at his home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Free Will Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark., with the Revs. Anthony Lane and Ellis Doyle officiating. Burial was in Pea Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Mr. WILSON was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Heavener, to V.J. and Essie (BENSON) WILSON. Survivors include his wife, Juanita of the home; two sons, Ronnie, and David; three daughters, Brenda, Renitta and Connie; two brothers, Bill and James; four sisters, Lucy, Sue, Loretta and Fonda; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and family and friends in Sequoyah County. Mr. WILSON was preceded in death by one brother, V.J. WILSON; and one granddaughter, Nicole NICHOLAS.

Mr. ALEXANDER was born July 11, 1914, in Porum, to John and Marie (FOOLS) ALEXANDER. He died Thursday, May 4, 2000, in Muskogee. He married Juanita GIRTY March 1, 1943, in Stigler. Survivors include his wife, Juanita ALEXANDER of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Cynthia; one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Bo; two grandchildren; and three brothers, Frank, Andy and Jimmy. Mr. ALEXANDER was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Cecil and Leroy ALEXANDER.

Funeral services for William C. "Bill" JOHNSON, 57, of Alma, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. Burial was in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Mr. JOHNSON died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at his home. Survivors include one daughter, Shawna Marie; three sisters, Janne, Virginia and Loraine J.; and two brothers, Leo and Kenneth P.

Burial was in Webber Cemetery, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service in Webbers Falls. Mr. LOCUST was born May 10, 1962, in St. Louis to Thomas LOCUST Sr. and Lizzie (BUSTER) LOCUST. He died Friday, May 5, 2000, in Tulsa. He married Linda ENNIS Oct. 26, 1985, at Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Linda LOCUST of the home; one daughter, Michelle Lynn; one son, Michael Roy "Jack" Jr.; two sisters, Linda and Eloise; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Carolina, and Arthur Joe and Tena; 10 nieces and nephews; five aunts, Ida, Hope, Nannie, Lillian and Dessie; one uncle, Josh Jr.; one great-aunt, Luella; and many other relatives and friends. Burial was in Phillips Family Cemetery, north of Gore, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. SHADE was born March 5, 1924, in Park Hill, to Tom and Jeannie (DICK) PHILLIPS. She died Friday, May 5, 2000, in Muskogee Regional Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Tommy SHADE of the home; seven sons and six daughters-in-law,  Emmett and Marina, Jerry and Judy, Richard and Paulette, Thomas, William and JoAnn, Albert and Karen, and Robert and Pam; six sisters, Annie, Maybelle, Lorrine, Irene, Elizabeth, and Geneva; two brothers, Carl and Jack; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. SHADE was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Andrew PHILLIPS and Jimmy PHILLIPS; and one sister, Ellen HICKS

TAFF of the home; two daughters, Sharon K. and JoAnn; one son, Charles David; two sisters, Mary Lea and Bernice; three brothers, Ray, James and Billy Gene; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Glenn McCall BUTLER, 80, of Roland died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, in Roland. Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial is in Vaughn Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Vera of the home; two daughters, Anita Ruth and Sue; one son, Jerry Glenn; five sisters, Laura, Mildred, Irene, Betty and Kate; two brothers, Kenneth and Bill; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Raymond of the home; her mother, Kate; three sisters, Ruby, Emogene and Juanita; three brothers, Joe, Loyd and Robert; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Lou HARGIS, 54, of Checotah, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mallory Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. HARGIS was born Dec. 19, 1945, in Porter, to Lester and Lottie (GREGG) TACKETT. She died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at the Vian Nursing Home. Survivors include her husband, Glen HARGIS of  the home; two sisters, Delores and Dortha; and six brothers, R.D., James, Junior, Donnie, Paul and Jewell.

Sidney Melvin HATCHER, 62, of Sallisaw died Friday, May 12, 2000, in Sallisaw. He was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Randelett, to Edgar William HATCHER and Beulah Mae (RHOADES) HATCHER.  Survivors include two brothers, Elbert M. and Forest O.; one sister, Ila June; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Graveside services for Anita Faye TEAGUE, 45, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith. Mrs. TEAGUE died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in a local hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie; one son, Rodney Jr.; five sisters, Betty, Linda, Mary, Brenda and Ruby; four brothers, Danny, John, William and Roy; and three grandchildren. Burial is in Fleetwood Cemetery, east of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. KEITH was born March 10, 1924, in Sallisaw, to Wes and Hester (ARTER) CORBIT. She died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in Sallisaw. She married Ray Monroe KEITH July 14, 1947, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death Oct. 17, 1991.  Survivors include one son, Sam ; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Nancy.

Funeral services for Patricia Ann MASSINGALE, 60, of Pryor will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Key Funeral Home. Mrs. MASSINGALE was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Phoenix, to Elmer and Floy Ruth (HOLT)  JACKSON. She died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in Broken Arrow. She married Daryle Ray BLANCK on Dec. 2, 1955, in Wichita. She later married Buell MASSINGALE on June 15, 1974, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1993. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Daryle Ray Jr. and Debbie; Joe Sr. and Angela, and Todd Allan Sr.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susie and Rudy, and Jena; seven grandchildren; one brother, Elmer; and one sister, Mary Lou. Mrs MASSINGALE was also preceded  in death by her parents; and one sister, Norma BLANCK.

Polvado officiating. Burial is in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral home in Sallisaw. Mr. MILLER was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Homer Lee MILLER and Emma Dell (ESSERY) MILLER. He died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in Sallisaw.  He married Jamie Lee TYE April 26, 1952, in Tijuana, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Jamie Lee MILLER of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Euel Dewayne and Cheryl Ann, and Earvil Lee Jr. and Gwen Sue; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn, Wilma June, Joyce Ann and Leslie "Buddy", and Melba Jean and Alan; two brothers and one sister-in-law,  Charles "Herbert" and Burble "Bud" and Ann; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. MILLER was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Dale MILLER on Sept. 10, 19994; and one grandson, Jason Lee MILLER on March 23, 1997.

Burial is in Dwight Mission Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. MORTON was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Dwight Mission, to Charles and Mattie (DAY) FIELDS. She died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, George MORTON of the home; two daughters, Kathy and Helen; three sons, Joe, Robert and George; five sisters, Bettie, Georgia, Elenor, Ruth and Jeanne; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. MORTON was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son; one brother, John FIELDS; and three sisters, Helen BRINKLEY, Charlene LaCROIX and Katherine FIELDS.

Funeral services for James "Jim" PROCTOR, 88, of the Greasy community in Adair County will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Chuculate Baptist Church in Adair County. Burial will be in the Chuculate Cemetery in Adair County, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Stilwell. Mr. PROCTOR was born May 10, 1912, and died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Geneva PROCTOR of Adair County; six sons, Wilkie, James Jr., Woodrow, Joe James, Croley and Dennis; six daughters, Mary, Thelma, Patricia, Patty, Rinda and Lucy; one sister, Lizzie; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and other relatives and friends in Sequoyah County. Mr. PROCTOR was preceded in death by one brother, Felix PROCTOR; and one daughter, Rachel PROCTOR-LAWRENCE.

 Graveside services for Wanda Mae COLLINS, 73, of Sallisaw were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating. Mrs. COLLINS was born June 14, 1926, in Sequoyah County, to Mack and Myrtle (DIX) GOAD. She died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Aubrey Austin COLLINS May 15, 1986, in California. He preceded her in death April 21, 2000. Survivors include one daughter, Joan; one stepdaughter; one son, John; one stepson; seven grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara and Norma; four brothers, Alfred, Louie, Bobby and Kenneth; and several nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives and friends.  Mrs. COLLINS was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pat VONGUNTEN. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Venita Irene COOK, 81, of Charleston, Ark., died Monday, May 22, 2000, in a local hospital. Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, Ark. Burial is in Morris Cemetery in Bloomer, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah and Dinah; seven sons, Bill, Donald, Jim, Emmett, Frank, Doyle and Terry; five sisters, Allie, Violet, Lucy, Dorthy and Johnie Ruth; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. COOK was preceded in death by her husband, O.E. COOK; and two children, Bobby and Phyllis.

Funeral services for Patty Jane HARGIS, 59, of Gore were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Mallory Chapel in Sallisaw with Will Shell officiating. Burial was in Old Cache Cemetery in Keota, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. HARGIS was born Nov. 23, 1940, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Raymond L. HOPP and Helen (DAVENPORT) HOPP. She died Friday May 19, 2000, in a Tulsa hospital. Survivors include her husband, Junior HARGIS of the home; two daughters, Dana and Laura; three sons, Darrell, Lonnie and Jason; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. HARGIS  was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Richard L. HOPP.

Graveside services for Karl Cason HARTLEY, 90, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Cemetery, near Sallisaw, with the Rev. Jim Henson officiating. Mr. HARTLEY was born March 12, 1910, in Carthage, Mo., to Harry and Ethel (CASON) HARTLEY. He died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in Vian. He married Sallie Katherine BALDRIDGE May 17, 1930, in Carthage. She preceded him in death Aug. 2, 1998. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Karla Karleen and Jerry; one son and daughter-in-law, Rodger and Linda;  one brother and two sisters-in-law, Hugh and Pat, and Vida; and three grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Thelma Lee JACKSON, 55, of Fort Smith, Ark., died May 15, 2000, in a Fort Smith, hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith. Burial was in Oak Cemetery, under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary in Fort Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Clara; four sons, Castello, David, Andrew and Doug; nine sisters, Patricia, Nacola, Ida, Shirley, Donna, Ivory, Georgia Mae, Theresa, and Viola; five brothers, Rayon, James, L.D., Luther, and Hoyd; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rube JOHNSON, 85, of Johnsonville were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blackgum Mission of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Phyllis and Bill Willis officiating. Burial was in Box Cemetery, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service in Webbers Falls. Mr. JOHNSON was born March 17, 1915, in Vian, to Stephen and Victoria (YANDELLS) JOHNSON. He died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in Sallisaw. He married Vera PACK June 28,1 937, in Vian. Survivors include his wife, Vera JOHNSON of the home; one son, James Ruben II; five brothers, Albert, Earl "Wash", Bennie, Mason, and Earnest; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Mr. JOHNSON was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, L.D., Stephen, Younger, Boad and Willis; and three sisters, Alice PACK, Nanny DAVIS and Mable WALTERS.

Funeral services for Lorin W. LAEGER, 79, of Aurora, Mo., are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora, with the Rev. Barry Williams officiating. Burial is in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. LAEGER was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Cortland, Neb., to Herman and Marie (NIEDERHUTH) LAEGER. He died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at St. Johns Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo. He married Gail WEAVER May 22, 1976. Survivors include his wife, Gail LAEGER; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorinda and Zino, and Ginger and John; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Troy and Brenda; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lorene and Bud, Evelyn, and Laverna. One son, William E. "Eddie" LAEGER preceded LAEGER in death on Aug. 25, 1993.

Burial was in Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, under the direction of Stephens Memorial Chapel in Pryor. Mrs. PINKERTON was born Nov. 2, 1900, to T.K. MILLER and Nancy Jane (DOTSON) MILLER. She died Saturday, March 25, 2000. Survivors include one son, Dr. C.B.; one sister, Jean; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; 10 first cousins; and many more cousins. Mrs. PINKERTON was preceded in death by her husband, Claude PINKERTON; one son, Gilbert PINKERTON; and one sister, Fannie HESS.

Betty SHARTEL, 73, of Kansas City, Mo., died Sunday, May 7, 2000. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. May 10, at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Chapel. Private burial was held at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mrs. SHARTEL was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Kansas City. She married David E. SHARTEL Jr. Oct. 2, 1948 in Kansas City. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susanne, Beverly and Ron and Becky and Mike; and six grandchildren. Mrs. SHARTEL was preceded in death by her husband, David E. SHARTEL Jr.

Burial is in Centerpoint Cemetery, south of Muldrow, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. BENTON was born March 16, 1951, in Foreman, to Earnest BENTON Sr. and Evelene (FLURRY) BENTON. He died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Survivors include eight sisters, Mary, Earnestine, Bernice, Cecil "Lucy", Sally, Minnie, Sarah and Rosia; two brothers, Lonnie and James Ray; and his mother, Evelene. Mr. BENTON was preceded in death by his father; one daughter; three brothers; and one sister.

Kenneth D. BOSWELL, 72, of Coweta died Sunday in the VA Medical Center in Muskogee. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church in Haskell, with Herb Smith officiating. Burial was in Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the direction of Dowdy Funeral Home. Mr. BOSWELL was born May 12, 1928, in Braggs to Johnny and Iva (LUCKINBAUGH) BOSWELL. He married Joyce SCOTT Sept. 8, 1993, in Miami. Survivors include his wife, Joyce BOSWELL of the home; two daughters, Jimmie Lou and Connie; two stepsons, Larry and David; two stepdaughters,  Sherry and Philis; one brother, Carl; two sisters, Lola and LaVerna; mother-in-law, Frona; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives, friends and his cat. Mr. BOSWELL was preceded in death by his first wife, Flora Jean in 1993; his parents; two brothers, Herman and Leonard BOSWELL; and two sisters, Iva and Alva.

R.D. BURNETT, 66, of Roland died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Roland. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Gail BURNETT of the home; one daughter, Donna; two stepdaughters, Lorrie and Leah; three sons, Randy, Curtis and Steve; two sisters, Shirley Jean,  and Theda; two brothers, Malcom and Norman; and six grandchildren.

He died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Mary Sue CARTER April 13, 1951, in Bokoshe. Survivors include  his wife, Mary Sue SPROUSE of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David; one son and daughter-in-law,  Dennis and Debbie; five grandchildren; mother-in-law, India; one brother, William G. Mrs. WEBSTER was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Hinton, to James David PAYNE and Mary (EVANS) PAYNE. She died Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at the Gore Nursing Center. She married Joe WEBSTER  Dec. 1, 1956. Survivors include her husband  Joe WEBSTER of the home; four children, Danny Joe, and David Bill, Brenda Kay and Judy Lynn; five brothers, Dean, Joe, Harold, Luther, and Melvin; three sisters, Jewell, Lucille and Valeta; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. WEBSTER  was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Dean WEBSTER in 1995; three brothers, Jack PAYNE, Orvell PAYNE and J.D. PAYNE; and one sister, Thelma HARDEN.

Funeral services for Patricia Carolyn STOKES WEST, 55, of Newport News, Va., formerly of Sallisaw, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Mrs. WEST was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Sallisaw, to Altorlee and Ernestine (BOWIE) STOKES. She died Sunday, may 21, 2000, in Hampton, Va.  She married Lonnie Joe WEST Sr. Dec. 29, 1964, in LeFlore County. Surivors include her husband, Lonnie J. WEST Sr. of the home; four sons, Donnie L., Michael, Lonnie J. Jr., andCallis;  three daughters, Vicky J., Tricia A., and Sandra J.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchilden; four sisters, Frances, Shirley, Fhannie and Geraldine; one brother, Altorlee; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
