Graveside services for Lawrence J. DIRKS, 86, of Talihina, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Restlawn Cemetery in Hereford, Texas, with Tad Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Restlawn Cemetery, in Hereford, Texas, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. DIRKS was born May 13, 1921, in Castro County, Texas, to Bill DIRKS and Catherine (SEURER) DIRKS. He died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in McAlester. He married Johnnie Ruth MORRIS, Dec. 24, 1941, in Clovis, N.M. She preceded him in death, Aug. 19, 1987, in Van Buren. Survivors include one daughter, Kayleen; one son, Billy Gene; one granddaughter; four grandsons; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sylvia HOELTING and one brother, Raymond DIRKS.

Graveside services for Jerry Lee DYE, 63, of Van Buren, Ark., are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. DYE died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in Van Buren. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue DYE of the home; one daughter, Tina Lee and her husband, Jeffrey; three sons, Jerry Lee and his wife, Maria, Tony Keith and his wife, Misty, Jimmy Dale and his wife, Angie; two sisters, Freda and Nancy; five brothers, Charles, Richard, Joe, Ronald and Ben; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Nancy DYE, and one brother, Thomas (Duck) DYE. .

Funeral services for Tracey Gene JONES, 44, of Muskogee, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with Eric Jones officiating. Burial was in Floral Haven Cemetery, in Broken Arrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. JONES was born July 20, 1963, in Tulsa, to Ronald Gene JONES and Ilona Faye Hathcock JONES. He died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, in Muskogee. Survivors include his mother, Ilona JONES; father and step-mother, Ron and Pamela JONES; two brothers, Eric and his wife, Shelley, and Ryan and his fiance Sarah; paternal grandparents, John C. and Kathleen JONES; two aunts; one uncle; two nieces; three nephews; and one great niece.

Graveside services for Sheala Dawn MARCUM, 36, of Whitesboro, were held at noon Wednesday at the Whitesboro Cemetery with Rita Fred officiating, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home of Talihina. Mrs. MARCUM was born Feb. 17, 1971, in Denver City, Texas, to Dusty PATE and Linda (CAINE) BOOTH. She died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Whitesboro. Survivors include two daughters, Shalisa and her husband, Jeffrey, and Lyncee; mother and step-father, Linda and Bourey BOOTH; brother, Ira and Kim; step-brothers, Donald, Shawn and Bret; step-sister, Deanna; one aunt; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dusty PATE, grandparents, Whitney and Oleta NICHOLS GRAMBE and Christeen LUCE.

Funeral services for Waldo Emerson PAYTON, 89, of Roland, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial was in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. PAYTON was born June 21, 1918, in Gravette, Ark., to Harvey Leroy PAYTON and Emma (VARMILLION) PAYTON. He died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in Roland. He married Colene Myers (OWENS) PAYTON, on March 28, 1958, in Stilwell. She died Dec. 30, 2006, in Fort Smith.  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and R.L; one son, Gary Don; two daughters-in-law, Loy Fern and Ila Mae; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Emma PAYTON and three children, Clara Belle OWENS, Gurley OWENS, Jr. and Robert Franklin OWENS.

Graveside services for Xinna R. PHILLIPS, 94, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian with Rev. Minierva Roberts officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. PHILLIPS was born Feb. 16, 1913, in Fincastle, Texas, to Jessie RICE and Mamie J. RICE. She died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, in Vian. She married Oscar B. PHILLIPS, in 1944, in Oklahoma. He preceded her in Sept. 1976 in Muskogee. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Ruby, Alta Mae, and Marjorie; three nieces; two nephews; and several other relatives and friends.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.D. and Hazel PHILLIPS.

Memorial services for Sheila Danelle WYLIE, 44, of Van Buren, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Journey Church in Sallisaw with Pastor Jeff Allred officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home Inc. of Prairie Grove, Ark. Mrs. WYLIE was born Sept. 22, 1963, in Altus, to Baron and Chiquita (KYZER) WYLIE. She died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in Little Rock, Ark. Survivors include two sons, Christopher James and Elijah William; father; mother; two brothers, Baron, Jr.. and Brandon Scott; one sister, Tania Michelle; half-brother, Dakota; paternal grandmother, Virginia WYLIE; and maternal grandmother, Betty KYZER.

Funeral services for Deon BELT, 70, of Ozark, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. George Willis officiating. Burial was in Cemetery Ridge, in Ozark, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. Mr. BELT was born Oct. 16, 1937, in Franklin County, Arkansas, to Jesse and Beulah (BERNARD) BELT. He died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, in Ozark. Survivors include two sons, Ken and his wife, Stephanie,  and Roger and his wife, Donna; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Walker BELT.

Graveside services for Georgia TOON CONLEY, 51, of Marble City, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, with Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. CONLEY was born Sept. 20, 1956, in Sallisaw, to George TOON and Annabelle (NASH) TOON. She died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in Sallisaw. She married William Donald "Pancho" CONLEY, Aug. 5 1977, in Marble City. He preceded her in death, April 5, 1992, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy and Robert, and Colletta; three step-children, Ricky, Jerry, and Rebecca; three sisters, Doris, Nancy, and Rosa;  two brothers, Floyd and Curtis; two half-brothers, Edward and Larry; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services for James Eugene HAYS, 63, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. Burial is in Hays Chapel Cemetery, near Clarksville, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. HAYS died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy and her husband, Frankie and Crystal; two sons, Stoney HAYS and his wife, Christi, of St. Paul, Minn., and Tony; three sisters, Virginia, Barbara, and Linda; five brothers, Gary, Paul, David, Lester, and Ronnie; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Doyle HAYS.

William Cheyne officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark., to John Britton BEARD and Brita Lee (JONES) BEARD. He died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Roland. Survivors include two sisters, MaKala and Josey; four brothers, Jace, Justus, Bobby and John, Jr.; parents, maternal grandparents, Lillian JONES of Roland, Richard and Joy JONES of Edmond. He was preceded in death his paternal grandparents, Linda and Morris HORN.

Funeral services for Billy D. BOLLINGER, 74, of Stigler, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel in Stigler with Rev. Tommie Parker officiating. Burial is in Keota Cemetery, under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. Mr. BOLLINGER was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Keota, to Mack BOLLINGER and Effie (SASSR) BOLLINGER. He died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two daughters, Lou Ann, and Jana and her husband, Terry; two sons, Bill Jr. and his wife, Lauri, and Tim; one brother, Leon; two sisters, Delma Dean and Betty Jo; former wife, Sarah SHASSETZ; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, one granddaughter, Lavina and a former wife, Louella WILKETT.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BREWER was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Leslie County, Kentucky, to G.W. BAILEY and Martha (ENGLE) BAILEY. She died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include Nora Darlene and her husband, Carl; Bob and his wife, Margaret; John and his wife, Marilyn; Terry and his wife, Donna; and Amanda.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, three children, Larry BREWER, Patricia BREWER, and Letha EYMER and five sisters, Alice, Pearl, Myrtle, Mollie and Bessie.

Memorial services for Terry BYNUM, 49, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. Mr. BYNUM was born June 26, 1958, in Van Buren, Ark. He died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two children; eight sisters, Donna, Beverly, Connie, Jeannie, Kay, Sue, Teresa, and Brenda and one brother, Jerry.

Funeral services for Billy S. GARRETT, 72, of Van Buren, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. Burial was in Gill Cemetery, in Van Buren, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. GARRETT died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Van Buren. Survivors include his wife, Violet TOUNZEN GARRETT of 52 years; two sons, Billy Joe and his wife, Nancy, Ricky and his wife, Sharon, of Roland; one sister, Joyce UPTON of Olivehurst, Calif.; three brothers, Johnny, Robert GARRETT of Alma, and Paul GARRETT of Van Buren; four grandsons; four granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and special friends, Paige, Hayley and Payton, Shelby and Ashlie.

Funeral services for Vernon Louise HENRY, 89, of Gore, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Notchietown Baptist Church, north of Gore, with Rev. Wendell Cox officiating. Burial was in Gore City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. HENRY was born March 19, 1918, in Gore, to William Marion AYERS and Bonnie Mae (TIPPIN) AYERS HENRY. She died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, in Gore. She married Ray Woodrow HENRY, Dec. 18, 1936, in Phoenix, Ariz. He preceded her in death, June 27, 1993. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Velma; three grandsons and granddaughters-in-law; six great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by one son, James Ray HENRY in 1982, parents, three sisters, Vivian BARRICK, Katie BROUGHTON and Blanche COLE.

Funeral services for Anna Mae BURRIS HOWELL, 78, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Vian with Bro. James Lee Wisdom officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Vian, under the direction of Neal Funeral Home of Lawrenceburg. Mrs. HOWELL was born July 24, 1929, in Arapaho, to Charles A. and Myrtle Lee (VANCILL) BURRIS. She died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Lawrenceburg. Survivors include one daughter, Francis Kay and her husband, Raymond Edward; one son, William Lee and his wife, Caroline; one sister, Clara; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. HOWELL, two brothers, William Henry BURRIS, and Alvin Lee BURISS, and two sisters, Mary Francis LOGAN and Dorothy Louise REED.

Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. MARTIN was born June 22, 1937, in Minko, to Claude TEAGUE and Lillian (LOVELL) TEAGUE. She died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one daughter, Sheila; one son, Nathaniel; four sisters, Irene, Joyce and Cuby, and Bonnie Lois; and three brothers, Donald Ray, Ronald Keith, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jackie LINDSEY and Lorene CUMMINGS and two brothers, James David TEAGUE and Warren Calvin TEAGUE.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. NORRID was born Dec. 3, 1905, in Brent, Indian Territory, to Jesse Melton "J.M." JACKSON and Cynthia Mary (NORMAN) JACKSON. She died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Sallisaw. She married Clyde Lafayette NORRID, Sr., June 28, 1924, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death, Aug. 24, 1988, in Fort Smith. Survivors include one son, ClydeJr; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and several brothers and sisters.

Burial is in the Garden of Memories, in Charleston, under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc. of Charleston. Mrs. OELKE was born June 12, 1931, in Arco, Minn., to John FREDERICKSEN and Christine (JORGENSEN) FREDERICKSEN. She died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, in Charleston. Survivors include one daughter, Tammi; three sons, Cary, Larry, and James; one brother, Marian; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leith O. OELKE and her parents.

Mr. POTOCHNIK was born April 28, 1965, in San Diego, Calif., to Karl and Ann Louise POTOCHNIK. He died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include his parents; two nephews; two nieces; one great-nephew; and sister, Leonett.

She died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, in Roland. She married William Homer PYLES, April 1, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death, Oct. 29, 1984, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one step-daughter, Sue; one step-son, William; two sisters, Maxine and Daphine; one brother, Freddie "Ted"; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Pauline HOLDER and three brothers, Raymond, Norman, and Curtis BREWER.

Burial was in Buffington Cemetery, in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Aug. 17, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Gregory K. ROTHERS and Diana (CRAIN) ROTHERS REEVES. He died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his mother, Diana REEVES and her husband, Kirk; father, Gregory K. ROTHERS; one sister, Margaret Gayle; two brothers, Jonathan and Dustin; maternal grandparents, Billy and Margaret WOOD and Lucinda and Kirk REEVES, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Darrell and Gayle ROTHERS and Jim and Joyce GRAY; five aunts,; five uncles,; two great-aunts; and one great-uncle.

Funeral services for Kenneth Ray ATKINS, 55, of Arkoma, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Arkoma First Baptist Church. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. ATKINS died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, in Lexington. Survivors include his wife, Susan ATKINS; one daughter, Ashely; step-daughter, MaRae; two step-sons, Eric and Aaron; four sisters, Patsy, Jean, Maxine and Pearline; one brother, Hoyt; and eight grandchildren.  

Carolyn Joann HUGHES, 66, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007. No formal service is planned and cremation was under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. Mrs. HUGHES was born to Lillian and John BELL Sr. Survivors include two sons and their family, James Earl Jr. and his wife, Debra, John Vance and Michelle, and eight grandchildren; two brothers, John Jr. and Jimmy; and one sister, Lillian. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jimmy Earl HUGHES.  

Graveside services for Chessie Udell THOMPSON, 84, of Sugarloaf Lake, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. Mrs. THOMPSON was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Hanson, to Hugh and Davie MATLOCK. She died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, George; son, George H., Jr.; adopted brother, Michael Ray; two sisters, Margie Ellen and Cherokee Annie; adopted sister, Patricia Ann; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joe H. and Ray W. MATLOCK.

Memorial services for Sherry "Tootie" TROUTMAN, 58, of Gore, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Millsap Funeral Chapel in Webbers Falls with Jason Fort officiating, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. TROUTMAN was born July 28, 1949, in Corcoran, Calif., to Jay A. and Helen (COSPER) COLE. She died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, in Gore. Survivors include her husband, Jerry McDANIEL of the home; two daughters, Tina and Brenda; mother, Helen COLE;  four sisters, Carol and her husband, Thomas, Wanda, Jody and her husband, George, and Janet and her husband, Ron; three brothers, Kenneth and his wife, Linda, Rondell and his wife, Rebecca, and Greg; six grandchildren; brother-in-law, David; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children and step-grandchildren.

Funeral services for William Joel ADDINGTON, 75, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Vian Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Shropshire officiating. Burial was in Konawa Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. ADDINGTON was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Chickasha, to William Terry ADDINGTON and Retta (KIRKWOOD) ADDINGTON. He died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in Vian. He married Cathryn Mae GALE, May 6, 1960, in Purcell. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Dennis, and Terisa and Joe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Deborah and Donald and Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Alonzo Berl, Dean, and John. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Alice.

Scotty Ray BOOKOUT, 47, of Vian, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, in Tulsa. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. BOOKOUT was born May 24, 1960, in Riverside, Calif., to Hubert BOOKOUT and Carol E. (CROWDER) BOOKOUT. He married Barbara Ruth OSMON, May 5, 1990, in Delano, Calif.  Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; two step-sons, Johnny Lee, Jr. and Jack Earnest; two grandsons;  father-in-law, Earnest OSMON; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rodger and Barbara,  and Ray and Debbie; two nieces; and two nephews.

Graveside services for Clara Francis Clark COLEMAN, 96, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Hackett, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. COLEMAN died Monday, Sept. 12, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include six nieces, Jeanne, Majolee, Evelyn, Lucille, Goldie, and Violet; and two nephews, Bob and Alvin. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer DOYLE and Clarence COLEMAN.

"Gabbie" DRAIN, 57, of Tahlequah, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Park Hill Cemetery with Elder Curtis Davis officiating, under the direction of Green Country Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Mr. DRAIN was born Dec. 27, 1949, in Marble City, to Jack and Adron (WHITE) DRAIN. He died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in Tahlequah. Survivors include his wife, Frances DRAIN of the home; one son, Jackie and his wife, Lori; daughters, Deanna and fiance, Johnny, and Kerri and fiance, Dustin; three grandsons; one sister, Joy, and husband, Bruce; brothers, Jackie L. and Vernon W. and his wife, Jeany; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Lee and his wife, Sheila; sister-in-law, Jean and her husband, David; mother-in-law, Ann CAMPBELL; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adron and Jack DRAIN, and father-in-law, Junior Lee CAMPBELL.
