Funeral services for Charles Luther CANNON, 60, of Sallisaw, are being held Saturday, at 10 a.m., at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. CANNON was born on Oct. 13, 1942, in Tahlequah to Charlie CANNON and Pearl (WARD) CANNON. He died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Sallisaw. Mr. CANNON married Norma CANNON on April 5, 1969, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Norma of the home; one daughter, Kathy; two sons, Brian James and Jeffrey Don; one grandson; his mother, Pearl CANNON; one sister, Norma Lynn;and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Cecil Rufus ROBINSON, 84, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held Friday, at 2 p.m., at the Lower Creek Cemetery north of Branch, Ark., under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc. of Charleston, Ark. Mr. ROBINSON, was born on March, 1, 1918, in Franklin county in the Peter Pender community, to Benjamin Franklin and Jessie Lee (CODDINGTON) ROBINSON. He died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two sons, Cecil L. and David R.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Jettie; and one brother, Robert J.

Funeral services for Juanita Morse STEVENSON, 75, of Russellville, Ark., formerly of Muldrow, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow, with burial in Gans Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral of Muldrow. Mrs. STEVENSON was born on Sept. 11, 1927, in Brent community, to Roy MORSE and Wincie (LAY) MORSE. She died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in Russellville. Survivors include one daughter, Georgia; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Lillian; three brothers, Herbert, Billy and Johnny; and longtime companion, Walter. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy STEVENSON; one daughter, Lucille STEVENSON; her parents; and one brothers, Tommy MORSE.

Graveside services for Reuben B. "Junior" VANDERHEIDEN Jr., 58, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, at the Seabolt Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral home of Sallisaw. Mr. VANDERHEIDEN was born on Jan. 14, 1944, in Sallisaw, to Reuben Bill VANDERHEIDEN Sr. and Jesse (DUTY) VANDERHEIDEN. He died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one sister, Flora Mae and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

BRADLEY, 82, of Merced, Calif., formerly of Sallisaw, were held Thursday, Oct. 7, 2002, at 10 a.m., at the Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Atwater, Calif., with Pastor Mike Woodman officiating. Burial was in Merced District Cemetery, under the direction of Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Atwater. Mrs. BRADLEY  was born on Jan. 9, 1920, in Sallisaw. She died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, in Merced. Survivors include two sons, Donald and Charles; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob and Ron; and one sister, Eloise. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.O. BRADLEY in 2001; one brother, G.C. "Dobe" HARKREADER and one sister, Maxine EAGLE.

Funeral services for Fred James BUTLER, 90, of Gans were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the Sallisaw City Cemetery, with Rev. J.D. Jones officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. BUTLER was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Mississippi. He died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one sister, Mary; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. BUTLER was preceded in death by his wife, Mary BUTLER.

Funeral services for Ronald Gene "Ron" CAMPNEY, Sr., 57, of Sallisaw, were held Monday, at 2 p.m., at the First Christian Church in Sallisaw, with Dr. Lee Woodard officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. CAMPNEY was born on June 13, 1945, in Albany, N.Y., to Harold CAMPNEY and Alice Viola (WINEBRIGHT) CAMPNEY. He died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronald Gene Jr. and Delsia and Justin; three grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Phyllis and Gayle and Ron; one brother, Vincent and Georgia; two aunts, Rosalyn and Ellen; one uncle, Wayne; and friends, Sandy, Nikki and Tammy.

Funeral services for Louise CUPP, 68, of Muskogee, were held Monday, at 10 a.m., at the House of Praise in Marble City, with Rev. Clifton Pettit officiating. Burial was in Dwight Mission Cemetery northwest of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. CUPP was born on Aug. 13, 1934, in Marble City, to Grover Cleveland ROBERTSON and Elizabeth (WALLACE) ROBERTSON. She died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Tulsa. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte; three sons, P.L., Johnny and Charlie; five grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene and Ruby; one brother, Levi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Viki CABRERA.

Funeral services for Dewayne GILBERT, 51, of Woodstock, Ga., formerly of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel in Canton, Ga., with Rev. Huey Holloway officiating, under the direction of Sosebee Memorial Home of Canton. Mr. GILBERT was born Sept.27, 1951, in Clinton. He died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, in the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Jackie (NOBLES) GILBERT of the home; three sons, Eric, Dakota and Chance; four granddaughters; two sisters, Edith and Norma; one step-son, Kyle; and one step-daughter, Bryonna.

Funeral services for Frank D. GIRDNER, 60, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Blunt Baptist Church north of Sallisaw, with Revs. Leroy Reid and Robert L. Polvado officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. GIRDNER was born on Jan. 1, 1942, in Stilwell, to Alton Ben GIRDNER and Lillian Gail (STEVENSON) GIRDNER. He died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in Tulsa. Mr. GIRDNER married Glenna RAPE on Nov. 10, 1962, in Stilwell. Survivors include his wife, Glenna of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Darren Frank and Kimberly; one daughter and son-in-law, Johnna Nicole (GIRDNER) and  Jeffery L.; two grandsons;  four sisters, Mary “Dixie”, Alene, Sue and Joyce; two brothers, Bill and Bryan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Alton Ben GIRDNER; and his parents.

Funeral services for Stoney JACKSON, of Sallisaw, are being held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev. Brian Zinck officiating. Burial is in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born April 27, 1917 in Tipton, to Aler Belford JACKSON and Minnie Ellen (WESTFALL) JACKSON. He died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, in Sallisaw. He married Sally Ann JACKSON on April 21, 1967. She preceded him in death  on Feb. 21, 2001. Survivors include several relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Alva E. OWENS, 75, of Muldrow, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, at the Gans Cemetery, with Rev. Randall Wade officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. OWENS was born on Nov. 2, 1927, in Van Buren, Ark., to Nealy OWENS and Maud (RANDALL) OWENS. He died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. OWENS married Barbara OWENS on Feb. 10, 2001, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; three grandchildren; two step-children, Tom and Lori; five step-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Eldoe and his wife Wava and Rueben; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma; one son, Jimmy OWENS; and one daughter, Avis OWENS.

Funeral services for Gurvis "Butch" PLYMALE, 68, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Oak Cemetery Pavilion, with burial in the Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. Mr. PLYMALE was born Mar. 16, 1934, in Ozark, Ark. He died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in his home. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Isabelle of the home; one daughter, Linda; one son, Tommy; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda; four brothers, Clifford, Curtis, Harold and Bobby.

Funeral services for Geraldine "Jerry" RODGERS, of Tulsa, formerly of Vian, are being held Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, with Gina Gayle Bradford officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born April 11, 1927 in Braggs, to Paul Ancel SLAPE and Annie Iola (McMILLIAN) SLAPE. She died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in Tulsa. Survivors include two daughters, Sheila and Marsha; one granddaughter; one grandson; one great-grandson; one sister, Wanda; and one brother, Ruben.

Funeral services for Ruby Mae TAYLOR, of Sallisaw, will be held Friday, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, with Revs. Steve Spyres and Troy Marino officiating. Burial will be in Buffington Cemetery west of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Jan. 17, 1918 in Sequoyah County, to Perry ROWLAND and Mary (OWENS) ROWLAND. She died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, in Sallisaw. She married John Kelly TAYLOR on Feb. 25, 1938, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. Survivors include five daughters, Barbara, Juanita, Loretta, Brenda and Melissa; one son, Billy Ray; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna and Ruth; and three brothers, Wayne, Watie and Donald Lee. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Jonell LONG; three brothers, Hubert, Cliff and Howard; two sisters, Avisa and Edith MARTIN; and her parents.

Funeral services for Mary Evelyn WEAR, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. WEAR died Thursday, Oct. 31,, 2002, in a local nursing home. Survivors include one son, Clifton Darrell; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sisters, Maxine and one brother, Ira B. Jr.

WILSON, 76, of Roland, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Zion Baptist Church in Roland, with burial in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. WILSON died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, in Roland. She died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Sally; one son, John; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. BULLARD was preceded in death by her first husband Tom YANDELL; her second husband, Joe BULLARD; five brothers; and three sisters.

Graveside services for Alene JONES, 75, of Cedarville, Ark., were held Friday, at 10 a.m., at the Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mrs. JONES died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, in her home. Survivors include her husband, Robert JONES of the home; one daughter, Bobbie; three sons, Richard, Harry Douglas and Robert Hank; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Udell and his wife Beverly, Robert Euell and his friend Dolores, Gary Wayne and his wife Jan, and Donald and his wife Sue; four daughters and one son-in-law, Virginia, Carol Jean and her husband Nate, Yvonne s and Twylah L.; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Belle.

She died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Jesse LEFLORE; one daughter and son-in-law, Lhnee and her husband Clint; two grandsons; numerous nieces including, Amber; numerous nephews; two sisters, Cathrine and Darlene; two brothers, Jeffrey and Michael; and her father and step-mother, Clyde and Doris COOPER. She was preceded in death by her mother; and her grandmother, Vera GILLEY.

Mrs. PHILPOT was born on Dec. 27, 1914, in Sallisaw, to Robert Richard BALL and Effie Lee (GRIFFITH) BALL. She died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Vian. Mrs. PHILPOT married Charles Richard PHILPOT on Oct. 11, 1933, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1988. Mrs. BENEDICT married Phillip BENEDICT on Nov. 24, 1943, in Claremore. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1993. Survivors include two sisters, Ruby and Judy; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Daisy BATES, Berniece SPEER and Birdie THOMPSON; and one brother, Perry PAYNE.

Mr. BENTON was born on June 10, 1967, in Fort Hood, Texas, to James Ray BENTON and Mary Ann BENTON. He died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in McKinney. Survivors include one daughter, Carshawnda; two sisters, Karen and Tamara;  one brother, Daren; his mother, Mary Ann; his father James Ray BENTON; five nephews; one niece; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mr. GUNTER was born on Oct. 19, 1921, in Gans. He died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one sister, Irene and one brother, Joe B.

Lanny Gene JARVIS, 65, of Sallisaw, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Sallisaw. He was born Sept. 17, 1937, in Joplin, Mo. to Harry R. JARVIS and Ruby L. (BOLLS) JARVIS. Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. JARVIS was married to Ellen CALKINS on Oct. 23, 1959, in San Jose, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Ellen of the home; three daughters, Mary Ellen, Kathy and Jolita; one son, Thomas Dean; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; his mother Ruby JARVIS; four brothers, H.R., William, Jim and Brian. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Robert JARVIS; one sister, Shirley JARVIS; and one great-granddaughter, Bradlleigh Renee DAVIS.

Burial was in Box Cemetery near Vian, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. VASTINE was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Charles Edward VASTINE and Elena (HEARN) VASTINE. He died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in his home. Mr. VASTINE married Peggy COWART on Nov. 17, 1967, in Tulsa. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sue VASTINE of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Dean and Sonya; one daughter and son-in-law, Danna and Paul; five grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Maureen; and his mother and step-father, Elena and John HOLLAND. Survivors include his wife Cynthia (DOBBS) BARGER of the home; two daughters, Chylsea and Beverly; three sons and one daughter-in-law, DeWayne, Robert and Peggy and Allen; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kaye and Monroe and Ellen; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Sue, Bob and Earline and Charles and Phyllis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. CALLISON was born on Nov. 24, 1917, in Blackgum community, to Wesley Perry CALLISON and Rena (BIAS) CALLISON. He died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark.
