Liberty Bell to Tour Panhandle Late in June

The Liberty Bell replica touring this section of the country in connection with the current war bond drive, will be in Guymon June 29, according to an announcement by W.W. Kennedy, chairman in Texas County.

Ford Motor Companies all over the nation are provining transportation in their respective communities, on the dates of arrival of the regular touring group, with the Liberty Bell.

The bell will enter the Panhandle on June 27, with the first stop scheduled at Beaver. The bell will leave Beaver at 7 a.m. June 28, and will arive in Hooker at 9 a.m. Transportation, while the bell is stopped there, will be provided by Voiles Motor Inc. The bell will leave Hooker at 11 a.m. and arrive in Boise City at 3 p.m., there it will remain overnight. Transportation there will be provided by Nall Motor Co.

The morning of June 29, at 7 a.m. the bell will continue on its way to Texhoma, where it is scheduled to arrive at 9 a.m. Backus Motor Co., will provide transportation for the Liberty bell in Texhoma.

At 11 a.m. the bell will leave Texhoma, and it will arrive in Goodwell at 11:30 a.m. It will leave Goodwell at 2 p.m. Transportation here will be provided by Texas County Motor Co.,

The bell will remmain overnight in Guymon. It will leave the following morning, June 30 at 7 a.m. for Woodward.

The Liberty Bell which will be touring the Panhandle, in the latter part of June, is one of several exact replicas of the real Liberty Bell, cast in France and being used by the government, in conducting the current bond sales campaign. The motto is "Buy Bonds for Your Independence."
