Claud Charles OWENSBY- Born 26 Mar 1901 in Francis, Pontotoc, OK. He married School Teacher Hattye Bates McCORD on 7 May 1921 in
Okmulgee. Okmulgee, OK. He died 06 May1970 in Tucson, Pima, AZ.
Hattye Bates McCORD attended the Ada Oklahoma Teachers College and taught school in and around Ada, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma for about 8 or 9 years in the 1920's. She was the daughter of James A. McCord and Mary Ida CUSHMAN of Ada. She was born 17 May1897 in Roff, Pontotoc, OK. On 7 May 1921. She married Claud Charles of Francis, Pontotoc, OK at Okmulgee OK. She died 26 May1982 at her daughter's home near Winkelman, Gila, AZ and is buried with her husband at East Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, Pima, AZ.
