Samuel Tilden Ward

Samuel Tilden Ward farmed S. E. of Noble, Ok., Cleveland Co. He and his wife, Mary Cornelia Sisk were the second of seven generations in the county. Sam was the first in the area to use terrace farming and carbide lights. Southern Baptists, they and their friends (Mary at the pump organ) sang hymns in the evenings and watched from the front porch as the sun displayed gorgeous colors, sinking behind the prairie.
