Mr. Oglesby and family, of Poteau, were at the Assembly of God church Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones and daughter, Patsy, and Mrs. Carson, Mrs. Willingham and son, Lon, of Shady Point, attended church at Latham Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Muncy, Pat Muncy, and grandmother were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Bates.

Barney Mecon, James Parker and Margaret Martin went to a ball game at Center Point Sunday afternoon.

Those who attended the shower of Mrs. C. F. Allen for James Parker and Margaret Martin were Mrs. Gould, Mrs. Eula Harp, Mrs. Clara Harp, Mrs. Dorthy Palmer, Mrs. Eula Palmer, Susie Parker and family. Mrs. Mary Abernathy, Mrs. Olean Horton, Mrs. Georgia Mecon, Mrs. Jim Smith, Mrs. Lena Tolbert, Mrs. Bertha Folsom, James Parker and Margaret Martin. A nice time was had by all and many nice gifts were received by the young couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Edischun, of Shady Point, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ide Palmer.

Sorry to report Robert Gables is still unable to be out of bed. He is at the home of his nephew, Day Aary.

Liberty-101 Home Demonstration club met at the home of Mrs. Eula Harp, Wednesday, June 11, at two o'clock. Subject was on the different kinds of salads. Six members answered to roll call naming their favorite salad. There were two visitors, Mrs. M. Mary Abernathy and Mrs. Lena Tolbert. Miss Wingo met with us and gave a demonstration on different kinds of salads. Next meeting will be with Mrs. Ide Palmer on July 9. Come for all day as it will be a work day quilting.

Harold Bates and family and Mr. and Mrs. Reeve Bates spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bates.
