Superb Shooting By FBI Agent 450 Attend Gunnery Exhibition Last Friday It was an enthusiastic crowd which witnessed the superb firing demonstration put on by D. A. "Jelly" Bryce, FBI man, last Friday afternoon on the Arthur Doshier farm north of Poteau. The marksmanship show was a climax of the Oklahoma peace officers meeting held that morning with 75 officers from all over the state being represented. "An estimated 450 people gathered on the Doshier farm to witness Bryce go through his unusual feats with pistol, rifle, shotgun and tommy gun," Sheriff Ralph Kelly said. Starting with an empty chamber, Bryce proceeded to shatter four clay pigeons while still in the air, using one shot each. A good showman, he placed two of the targets on the butt of the gun and flipped them in the air while an assistant threw the other two overhead for him. There was nothing sloppy about this sharpshooter. He used mirrors and even a diamond ring for sighting targets behind him - and he hit them all, too. Probably the most spectacular bit of shooting occurred when he opened up with a tommy gun using tracer ammunition and wrote alphabetical letters in the air, always saving one bullet for a punctuation mark.
