Lelia Daugherty, 86, of Spiro, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003. She
was born Jan. 7, 1917 at Cartersville. She loved to crochet and quilt,
was a very good seamstress, worked with ceramics and was an exceptional
cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delwin Daugherty; and her
sister, Irene Pryor.
Survivors include one son, David Daugherty of Mississippi; one daughter,
Evalee Jones of Anaheim, Calif.; five sisters, Hazel Partain of Spiro,
Dimple Rogers of Poteau, Jeanetta Wylie of Wagoner, Thelma Black of
Bokoshe, and Oteka Bryant of McCurtain; numerous nieces, nephews, other
relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the Assembly of
God Church in Bokoshe with Bro. Robert Teal officiating. Burial will
follow in Milton Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller
Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Randy Bryant, Randy McKenny, Scott McKenny, Doug
Nixon and Dwayne Craig.
