Lois Bertie Graves, 88, of Shady Point, formerly of Poteau, passed away
Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at Poteau. She was born Sept. 30, 1914 at
Arkansas. She was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church and
she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles H. Graves
on Oct. 4, 2000.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Glenda Graves of
Shady Point; one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Rick Couri of Poteau;
sisters-in-law, Rosemary Highfill of Burleson, Texas, Edna Highfill of
Poteau and Faye Graves of Heavener; four grandchildren, Jason Graves,
Chance Graves, Alan McDaniel and Mike Stanley; seven
great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved
ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Southside
Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Rogers officiating. Burial will follow
in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral
Home of Poteau.
