Johnnie Osborne Hood, 91, of Goshen, AR. passed away July 3, 2009 in Huntsville, Arkansas. He was born October 4, 1917, in Bokoshe, OK. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the United States Army. He was a member and deacon of the Goshen 1stSouthern Baptist Church. He was manager of Farnam Lumber Co. in Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Eva Evelyn (Sisco) Hood and Dorothy Jean (Luper) Hood; stepdaughter, Mary (Cooper) Graves and step-son Steve Cooper; 3 brothers, Omar, Lester and Jimmie Hood; 3 sisters, Iva Smith, Orbie Willingham and Lorena Wilson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Linda Kay and Dale Phillips of Huntsville; son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie Lee and Carol Hood of Lewisville, TX.; stepdaughter, Mary (Cooper) Graves and step-son Steve Cooper; grandson, Scott Phillips and wife Jerri Sue; 3 granddaughters, Katrina Burnett and husband Randy; Amanda and Anissa Hood; step-grandson, Sam Graves and wife Kristin; 3 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters; numerous other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted July 8 at 11 a.m. at Shady Point
Cemetery in Shady Point, OK. with Reverend Randall Galloway
officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Phillips, Randy Burnett,
Wilson Phillips, Kolby Burnett, Sam Graves and Tim Graves. The
family will receive friends at Beard’s Chapel from 5-7 P.M. on
Tuesday.
