Utah Cal McKinney, 83, of Flower Hill, passed away Saturday, July 19,
2003. He was born Jan. 31, 1920 at Keota to Johnny William and Lily L.
(Porter) McKinney. He was a member of the Flower Hill Pentecostal Church
of God. He loved playing his guitar, fishing, hunting, and planting and
working his garden each year but most of all he loved his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Cole McKinney,
Dalton McKinney, Charlie "Sonny" McKinney and Carl McKinney;
and one sister, Mammie Sexton.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Naomi, of the home; one
daughter, Kathy Dudiot and husband Blake of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son,
Billy Gene McKinney and wife Patricia of Bokoshe; one brother, Cotton
McKinney and wife Mary of Keota; eight grandchildren, Sandra McKinney,
JoAnn Walden, Billy Dean McKinney, Shearl Bell, Terrie McCullar, Tracie
Steverson, Sherrie Langley, Kelly Dudiot; 17 great-grandchildren, Markus
McKin-ney, Jeffrey Walden, Tara Reid, Tiffany McKinney, Billy McKinney,
Jennifer McKinney, Dustin Bell, Zack Bell, Ashlyn Bell, Jereme Lehman,
Rachel Jeffrey, Charlene Janway, Jonie Janway, Kyle Harris and Micheal
Branscum, Blakley Dudiot and Isaiah Dudiot; two
great-great-grandchildren, Mckenzie Reid and Easton Francis; numerous
nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at the Mallory Chapel
with the Rev. Everett Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Old
Cache Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Zack Benefield, Eric Reid, Anthony McKinney, Dustin
Bell, Markus McKinney, Jimmy Morris, Robert McCullar and Sandy McKinney.
