Ferne Purtle

POCOLA — Ferne McClain Moquett Wilson Purtle, 73, of Pocola died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, in Pocola. She was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God and was a retired cook for Pocola public schools.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; a daughter, Charlene Hamlin of Fort Smith; six sons, Donald McClain of Alma, Roger McClain of Shreveport, La., Mike McClain of Poteau, Cass and D’Wayne Moquett, both of Fort Smith, and Ronald Moquett of Pocola; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Wilson, John Cliftt, Robert Mickle, Luke Jones and Roger and Ryan McClain.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
