Daily Oklahoman Oklahoma City, Oklahoma June 14, 1919 page 3 Taxi Man Sued For Death of Three Fort Smith, Ark. - June 13 (Special) J. W. Crabtree, former operator of taxi service here was today made defendant in a suit for $43,300 damages as a result of the deaths of W. C. Rise, his wife and son, Floy, of Spiro, Okla., who were killed by a troop train on the Frisco road at Cedars, Ark., December 21, 1917. They were riding in one of Crabtree's autos when it was struck by the train. Contributed by Marti Graham, September 2003. Information posted as courtesy to researchers.
